Drova goes Polish and Spanish on April 23rd
Dear Travellers of the Otherworld!
[p][/p][p]Drova is getting the Polish and Spanish Language Update on April 23rd. And for those of you who have been waiting for the mobile release, we've got good news as well, because Drova will be made available on iOS and Android on April 23rd as well.[/p][p]On Mobile Drova is exactly the experience PC and Console players would expect it to be: an old-school RPG. No quest-markers, just an open world to explore for you. No microtransactions. Players just pay once while the first area of the game will be made available for free so that players can judge for themselves if the game is to their liking. No cut content for Day 1 DLCs. There are no DLCs. No AI-generated content. Just a handcrafted world with 40+ hours of content, a complex combat system and tons of characters to meet.[/p][p][/p][p]There is also a fresh Trailer for the Mobile Version:[/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]
Project Topas VOD
[p]And in case you missed our Project Topas Livestream, the VOD will stay online for a few more days. We will, after around a week, remove it however as the information in the stream will be outdated at some point. [/p]

Work on Drova for mobile, first impressions of 'Project Topas'

[p][/p]
Dear travelers of the otherworld
[p][/p][p]A new year has begun! And we can already tell you: 2026 will be one exciting year. In addition to working on Drova for mobile devices, we will be releasing additional languages for Drova and giving you a first glimpse into our work on Project Topas![/p][p]We have prepared a video for you in which we are discussing all the topics from this update. Feel free to take a look. The video is in German, but as always English subtitles are available.[/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p][/p]
Drova for Mobile is still in the works
[p][/p][p]It won't be long before Drova is released for iOS and Android. In today's update, we'll give you an insight into the changes we've made to ensure that Drova works perfectly fine on mobile devices. [/p][p]The first step for a successful port to mobile are the controls. We have defined new HUD elements for all actions that the player character can perform in our game and arranged them in an intuitive layout on the screen. But you can see for yourself by looking at the following images. [/p][p][/p][p]HUD outside of combat. Interaction via the hand icon. Holding down on the eye icon allows you to examine the environment more closely.[/p][p][/p][p]HUD in combat mode. Attack performed by using the button displaying the weapon type. Secondary action replaces the button for examination.[/p][p][/p][p]Abilities and attack buttons can be dragged to aim. Otherwise, the character will target the nearest enemy.[/p][p][/p][p]Soon we will show you more insights into our work for the mobile version of Drova. The changes shown above are just the beginning! We are having a lot of fun with the changes and hope you will enjoy the finished game just as much (and just in case you wonder, yes, also the PC version will profit from some changes)![/p][p][/p][p]Android Users can also pre-register for the game: Drova for Mobile - Play Store page[/p][p][/p]
Project Topas - First milestone completed!
[p]We have completed the first phase of Project Topas, the pre-alpha! In the pre-alpha, we laid the foundation for the game. We defined the story and discussed and worked out changes for the visuals and features. Your feedback from Drova guided us through the process and greatly influenced our decisions. [/p][p]We have prepared the first mockups of areas for Project Topas to show you! Nothing you see in the images is final, but we wanted to give you a first impression of the direction we're moving towards. Let us know what you think of the designs in the comments or on our Discord![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]There will also be deep forests in Project Topas. Watch out for what lurks in the undergrowth![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Mountains will play a greater role in Project Topas than in Drova. Depending on the decisions you make in the game, you may even climb one of the mountain peaks.[/p][p][/p]
Project Topas - A stream about combat changes
[p][/p][p]For Project Topas, we have come up with some exciting changes and upgrades to our combat system. Not only is there a weapon type that didn't exist in Drova, but also many talents and revised off-hand actions for all weapons! [/p][p]We have implemented these changes on a trial basis and now want to take a look at them together with you during a developer stream. Kai and Chris will be streaming and discussing our thought processes during the design phase and talking about the changes with you. [/p][p]The stream will take place on February 17.[/p][p]We are very much looking forward to it and hope that many of you will join us on the stream![/p][p]EntwicklerWG[/p][p][/p]
Changelog
[p][/p][p]We have uploaded a new version with many minor language corrections in English and German. In addition, we have added a banner to the main menu, which we will use to draw attention to important events, such as the upcoming mobile version of Drova.[/p]

Welcome Korea!

[p]Dear Travellers of the Otherworld![/p][p]
It’s quite the announcement time for us. After we welcomed players from China last week, today the Korean Update has been released for Drova after a successful headstart on Stove.[/p][p]We’ve partnered up with Smilegate for the Korean version and are super proud on what the team achieved with a top notch translation. We hope that the people from Korea can now enjoy the otherworld Drova even more![/p][p]In the meantime, feel free to vote for Drova in the Steam Awards season, we're thankful for every additional review! [/p][p]Next up: Traditional Chinese, Polish and Spanish. We'll let you know more about the exact timings once we're closer to a possible release of these languages.[/p]

Welcome China!

[p]Dear Travellers of the Otherworld![/p][p][/p][p]Never ever could we have imagined what Drova would mean for us. Never ever could we have predicted how the game would blow up and never ever would we have been able to foresee the countries in which it would become that popular. We created a game for ourselves, a game we were missing since the days we played Gothic. We never made a secret out of our inspirations.[/p][p]
Obviously that led to a situation where we knew that Europe and especially also eastern Europe (yes, Polish is still in the works and will follow in Q1) could be potentially strong markets. And sure, the USA because it is still one of the biggest markets available. But we never expected the game to become so insanely popular in China. Or Korea. Especially since these regions were not the core markets of our inspirations either. And especially since Drova, just from its looks and gameplay, is not the typical game succeeding in these markets.[/p][p]
And yet, here we are. The game gained so much interest that we were able to sign up with strong partners. And today, finally, Simplified Chinese (Traditional will follow later this year or early next year) has been released. And next week, on the 27th November, Korean will follow (currently also available to PreOrder via Stove, unlocking tomorrow there) here on Steam.[/p][p]
We couldn’t be more happy with the teams we partnered up with. We know we were lucky in first place. And with our new partners (and friends to be honest) we ended up with even more people believing in our vision.[/p][p]
But now: Welcome to our new players from China who previously couldn’t understand the game. We hope you’ll enjoy your journey through the land of Drova.[/p][p]
We also fixed some bugs we got reported over the last weeks. Here is a short changelog with all the fixes.[/p]
