v4.5.1 Hotfix Patch Notes

Improvements:
Damage calculations are now rounded up to avoid possible edge cases, when enemy could be hit the same way with the same weapon and once every 50 tests it would not die due to how floats operate
Narrations about location now respects the “character lines frequency” option in the Settings menu

Bug fixes:
Fixed an issue with Delifers realising Hellbats even when they weren’t killed by a headshot
Fixed an issue of black screen appearing after dying on the Chapter 1 Boss arena
Fixed an issue of invisible cursor if player died from lethal fall damage in Ironman mode
Bunch of improvements to the Brazilian translation
Fixed a menacing barrel standing in the Fort area of Chapter 2 without its metal belt. Scary!

Hey there, Gunslingers - we got another update for ya today. And this one's a doozy.



First and foremost, as you may know, Blood West comes to you from Poland with Love and as such it's part of the From Poland with Love sale on Steam right now!

We've had over 50 new voice lines recorded by the legendary Stephen Russell as The Undead Gunslinger woven into the main campaign of Blood West to expand on both the lore of the land and his personal backstory.

Changes:

  • More Voice Overs from Stephen Russell! - just like in Dead Man’s Promise (with the amazing Redd Pepper) the protagonist will comment on visited areas all around the map.
  • Added Brazilian Portuguese - thanks to Gabriel Finotti, Blood West can now be experienced in another language.
  • Improvements to Cleansing Fire quest to make it a bit more intuitive (it’s enough to set skeletons on fire to progress)
  • Slight optimization for some edge cases. This could be observed mostly when killing lots and lots of enemies without resting or dying. And in Chapter 3 in certain areas.
  • Saving mid-dialogue is no longer possible to avoid potential issues.
  • Added small bits of SFX to certain objects that were missing them


Bug fixes:

  • Fixed a possible crash if player tried loading a save game where they declined the NG+ option
  • Fixed an issue with flammable ammo not working correctly
  • Fixed an issue where Molotovs wouldn’t be available at shops
  • Fixed a bug in which summons didn’t work correctly in Dead Man’s Promise NG+
  • Fixed a bug in which Golden Cigar would not appear in player’s inventory after starting NG+ if their inventory was full
  • Fixed a bug where Cactus Bota wouldn’t prolong effects of alcohol. Also the item now mentions the duration in description properly.
  • Fixed another bug where maxed out Alcohol Tolerance perk wasn’t prolonging effects of alcohol for the correct amount of time
  • Fixed a bug with Depth Hunter’s ragdolls that could cause odd issues and graphical glitches
  • Fixed a bug in which a dying Defiler wouldn’t spawn a Hellbat and instead would disappear if player stopped looking at it
  • Fixed a bug where the C and D keybindings would instead bind to mouse buttons in certain cases
  • Fixed a bug where an empty HUD element would appear if the player died with the Occult Mask on
  • Fixed Priest’s coughing in Chapter 2. No more ghostly coughs after he moved on!
  • Fixed a bug where the proper in-game cursor was lost to the Worlds Beyond. A successful expedition was mounted to retrieve the cursor from the unseen horrors.

Blood West 4.4.2 Hotfix

Changes:
- Fixed an issue where player was unable to properly respawn after death
- Fixed reward for the Drinking Buddies quest not spawning at correct location
- Fixed an edge case where Spirits being target of the Cleansing Fire quest would despawn if player ran away and slept
- Fixed a rare case of the door leading to the Chapter 1 boss remaining closed after opening it once, if it happened between versions
- Fixed a buzzing sound that occurred near enemies killed by projectile weapons
- Fixed an issue where Jim could repeat the quest dialogue for Family Ties after the target was already killed
- Fixed an issue where Horned Shadow would not end the questline with proper dialogue
- Fixed lack of voice over for one of Bristle Mike’s lines
- Fixed a potential issue for saves in which players have already given Jim the coin, which could block players from receiving the new quest
- Fixed an issue where maxed out High Tolerance perk would not correctly prolong the positive buffs of alcohol
- Fixed a potential stuck point in the well in Chapter 1
- Fixed a few typos
- Improved clarity of texts indicating that non-story achievements are not enabled in Story and Custom difficulties
- Improved some Cactus Bota animations
- The Blur weapon no longer is locked until death (may require using Purple Revival once to take it off for players already having it equipped)
- Small improvements to certain ragdolls - this should help with cases of extreme enemy ragdolling
- Added the respec potion (New Dawn Tincture) to the shops at Chapter 1 for New Game+. Also added this potion to shops in Chapter 2 for every kind of game, so it’s available earlier.

  • [p]A special “victory” item awaits those who battle through Blood, Sweat and Tears to forever remind them of their difficult deed.[/p][p][/p]
