[Big Update] New Demo, and Publisher announcement!

Hey everyone!

I'm super thrilled to announce that Astrolabe Games will be publishing Dunjungle!
This relationship will allow me to focus 100% on the development of the game, helping make Dunjungle the best that it can be.

Having said that, I'm also excited to share a MAJOR update in the demo! Here you can find a list of what's new since the last update:

  • LOCALIZATION - More languages are available! English, Spanish, Chinese (simplified and traditional), and Japanese.
  • WEAPON SPECIAL ATTACKS - ALL primary weapons received were updated! Hold the attack button to execute each weapon Special Attack.
  • EQUIPMENT RARITY SYSTEM - Now you can find different versions of each Weapon and Skill! Common, Rare, Epic, and Legendary. Increasing the quality and adding stat bonuses.
  • PERMANENT PROGRESSION - Putting the 'T' in 'RogueliTe', Dunjungle now offers permanent upgrades that you can progressively unlock to increase your power for your following incursions.
  • FAMILIARS - You can now find and rescue BABY MONKEYS that will follow you around and help you for the rest of the run.
  • NEW EQUIPMENT - Loads of new Relics with cool effects to enhance your strategies, and new weapons to use.
  • ENEMIES - New Rooms and new enemies to fight.
  • INPUT SYSTEM - You can now customize your inputs. Keyboard and Gamepad.


There's also a Survey link on the main menu. Feel free to complete it for general feedback on the game, or as always, you can also contact me or post in the Community hub.

We are excited to announce that Astrolabe Games will publish "Dunjungle", A 2D action-packed roguelike centered on an ape's mission to protect its jungle from a spreading corruption.



Explore ever-changing dungeons, fight weird monkeys, and gear up with lots of powerful weapons and relics you can combine for a new experience every run.

Development progress!

I'm very happy because Dunjungle has been getting quite a few new wishlists and followers lately.
And I wanted to give you an update about the development's progress.



General:
Added new layouts for Combat Areas.
Added Elite Enemies with special rewards. They appear depending on the difficulty of the area.
Improved boss battle intro scenes.
Improved Count Monkula Boss Fight.
Merchant appears by chance before combat rooms (only when you have enough money).

Meta-progression:
Added special currency for meta-progression upgrades
Added Permanent Upgrades - Monkey Doctor
Added Permanent Upgrades - Shaman
Added Permanent Upgrades - Blacksmith
Added Permanent Upgrades - Snake

Equipment:
Added Skill: Summon Bat
Added Skill: Throwing Spear
Added Relic: Critical When Low
Added Relic: Counter - Guardian Spirit
Added Relic: Chance to summon Spirit Seeker when attacking
Added Relic: Defeated enemies have a chance to explode
Added Relic: Sprinting creates a fire trail
Added Relic: Dodging creates a fire trail
Added Relic: Increase Critical Hit Chance when Health is low
Added Relic: Dodging drops a trap
Added Relic: Successfully dodging drops a Bomb
Added Relic: Amulet charges faster
Added Relic: Allows you to perform a triple jump

These new changes are not yet reflected in the demo, but I'm working more than ever to make Dunjungle the most fun experience possible for the players, and I think specially if you're a Roguelite fan, you won't be dissapointed when it comes out.

Latin American Games Showcase



Hey everyone!

I'm thrilled to announce that Dunjungle will be part of the Latin American Games Showcase!

In addition to this, I wanted to keep you updated on what I'm working on for the full game.
These are some of the new features that will be reflected soon in the game (and some of them, even on the demo!)
  • Added Summon Bat skill
  • Added Throwing Spear skill
  • Improved Count Monkula Boss Fight
  • Added special currency for meta-progression upgrades
  • Added Permanent Upgrades - Monkey Doctor: Will give Health related upgrades!
  • Added Permanent Upgrades - Shaman: Will give Ape Amulet related upgrades!
  • Added Permanent Upgrades - Blacksmith: Will give Equipment related upgrades!
  • Added Permanent Upgrades - Snake: Will give Relicrelated upgrades!

Demo update! v0.94

Hi! Bruno here, the developer of Dunjungle.

I'm constantly making progress on the full game, and some of the changes impact the demo!

  • Added weapon - Whip
  • Added weapon - Gauntlet
  • Added weapon - Bo Staff
  • Improved reward system from random treasure chests
  • Added new power level for all weapons and skills (now upgradable to level 5)
  • Kill Streak - Now it persists between areas
  • Kill Streak - Increased time limit counter from 10 to 15
  • Kill Streak - Time limit counter is paused in non-combat areas
  • Modified Jumping Animation while sprinting
  • Amulet upgrade "Heavy Hitter" buffed (next melee attack deals x10 damage)
  • Implemented Weapon Modifier - Shadow
  • Boss minions now count toward Kill Streak Bonus and Amulet Charges
  • Implemented new big rooms with enemy waves
