The First Major Update is on the Way 🐒

Hello, Fellow Primates!

Since the Early Access launch of Dunjungle, we’ve been rolling out weekly updates, introducing a number of classes, weapons, and relics to aid in the fight to defend the forest. Recently, we even added an Endless Mode to challenge the unrelenting forces of corruption.

Your incredible support and feedback have inspired us, and from this week, we’re pausing our regular update schedule to focus on preparing a brand-new biome for the next major update.

Here’s a preview of what’s coming:

The major update is set to go live around Christmas, approximately December 25, coinciding with the Steam Winter Sale and a new discount period.

    The corrupting force has reached a mystical underwater world, where whispers of sunken treasures lure adventurers.
  • [h3]New Enemies and Threats:[/h3]
    Monsters lurk beneath the water’s surface, and ancient ruins are riddled with natural traps.
  • [h3]Two Brand New Bosses:[/h3]
    "Rumor has it there’s a frog in the forest claiming to be king. Ruling over a pond doesn’t make one a monarch

    Monkeys in each region boast unique traits, but one thing unites them all—they’re absolutely adorable ♄
  • Additionally, Endless Mode will be updated to include the new area, inviting all ape guardians to test their limits against the latest challenges!

That’s a sneak peek at the exciting content arriving in the next big update 🐒. This new area will feature stunning art, immersive sound design, and rigorous testing to ensure a polished experience. We’re working hard to deliver something amazing—stay tuned and stay hyped!

New Weapons and Relic Compendium Available Now!

Fellow Primates,

The monke scientists in the jungle have been working hard on weapon R&D, therefore in the 0.1.9 update we are introducing 3 brand new weapons for you!

- Boleadoras
- Grapple Vine

[h3]New Foods[/h3]
- Coffee Beans

[h3]Relic Compendium[/h3]
You'll now be able to check out every relic that Dunjungle has to offer (yet!), in a single, organized place!



[h3]Tweaks:[/h3]
- Buffed Spirit Orb: Increased size, hit rate, reduced travel speed, and updated animation.
- Baby Monkey room (final area) - Increased amount of enemies spawned
- Food: Buffed Apple, Avocado, and Banana Health Recovery
- Homing Pigeons: Less Pigeons but more damage per Pigeon!

Here are the Patch Notes for the 0.1.8 version:

[h3]NEW CLASS - Panda Chef[/h3]
Big, cute, and always hungry. This class is for food lovers, the more you eat, the more powerful you are!

[h3]New Weapons[/h3]
- Bamboo Katana: Graceful blade hidden in a bamboo sheath. Draws quickly for a technical two-hit slash!

[h3]New Relics[/h3]
[h3]- Yin Ring:[/h3]
Hitting an enemy with a Skill will increase your next Main Weapon's Attack damage by 10% (stackable up to 200%).
[h3]- Yang Ring[/h3]
Hitting an enemy with your Main Weapon will increase your next Skill's Attack damage by 10% (stackable up to 200%).

Tweaks:
- All King Frogus minions will die immediately when you beat him
- Buffed Katana Special Attack Damage
- Primal Monkey Class: Added Drill Punch as the Special Attack for the naked fist (execute this new move by pressing the attack button while rolling)
- Shell Gauntlet: Added "Drill" as a Special Attack (while rolling)
- Weapons that passively trigger Berserk (Claws, Greataxe, Club, Fist) will now increase Attack Speed at a slower pace (still reaching the same final attack speed after N attacks)
- Annoying Ghost is a bit less annoying now! Reduced Health (-20%).

Bug Fixes:
- Sometimes healing was not recovering your Health to 100%, remaining instead at Full Health minus 1
- Primal Monkey Class: Was still getting Weapon Drops from Bosses

NEW CLASS, NEW RELICS!

Hey Fellow Primates!

Here are the Patch Notes for the 0.1.7 version:

[h2]NEW CLASS - Primal Monkey[/h2]

Who needs fancy weapons? This is the unga bunga mode!
You will be able to rely only on your naked fists (and maybe some rocks and sticks).

[h2]NEW RELICS[/h2]
We want to encourage you to try diverse builds, so we're adding more Relics with synergies for a variety of styles!

Wind-up Toy: Increases your Movement Speed while you're charging a Special Attack

Sword Ornament: Special Attacks from your Main Weapon deal more damage.

Stone Glove: Increases your Damage by 50% of your Bonus Defense.

Elementalist Hat: Attacks that inflict Burn, Slow, or Stun will deal more damage.

Focus Glasses: Add 15 True Damage to every instance of damage dealt to enemies (True Damage is flat, and doesn't scale with your Stats).

[h2]Settings:[/h2]

Game Resolution can now be changed from the Settings Menu (from a dropdown of 16:9 resolutions)

[h2]Tweaks[/h2]

Count Monkula - The "pillars" attack is now evadable by rolling!
Dodge: If you auto-dodge an attack (instead of by rolling) a "Lucky" message will appear.
Endless Mode: After each cycle, the enemies will get a bit stronger than before.

ANOTHER NEW CLASS AND ANOTHER NEW WEAPON!

Early Access Patch Note - V0.1.6

Sorry my primate friends,

I guess we are a bit late for the halloween! But nonetheless, we'll make it up for you in game!


NEW CLASS - Vampire Ape!
  • Also known as Nosfuratu. This eerie ape needs blood from other creatures to survive and thrive!


NEW WEAPON - Vertebrae Sword!
  • Hard and Spikey, fashioned from the spine of a very feral beast.


Balancing:
  • Endless Mode: Healing reduction is now capped at 80% (no more reduction after that)


Misc:
  • Your Best Run Times will be saved (Both Base and Endless modes) and shown - for each class and each difficulty!


Bugs:
  • Beat Game Leaderboard (Base Game) was wrongly being updated when beating the boss in Endless Mode.
