Release Date Reveal!
Hello friends! How’s it going?
The big day is finally here! We are proud to announce that we are ready to reveal the release date of Early Access!
As we’ve announced before, we decided to postpone the Early Access release to ensure the best possible launch for everyone, and that commitment still stands. Now we are in a place where we can guarantee the best possible experience for everyone - from our dear Backers to all the new players. So mark the date in your calendars, folks!
We’ve prepared many fun activities for the Early Access launch too! A little teaser: we’ll be having a fun contest with very nice prizes, so hone your creative skills. But that’s all we can say right now!
New Features Awaiting You in Early Access
While we did move the release further into the future, the work has never ceased, and Spirit of the Island is looking better than ever. Since November, we’ve been running a special Backer Access version for our Kickstarter backers. And it’s going on incredibly well! Our amazing backers gave us lots of valuable feedback. We’ve already implemented many things that otherwise wouldn’t be in the Early Access day one. To list some examples:

And we aren’t stopping here! Spirit of the Island is all about community-driven development so expect even more feedback-based changes and improvements when we go into Early Access!

- Repair function — now you can use your hammer to fix other tools (not another hammer, though!) at the expense of the hammer’s durability;
- Toggling “Item Drag” in the settings — sometimes you don’t need a magnet for dropped items so that it can be safely disabled now;
- Improved water — it looks better than ever now;
- Added key bindings, one of the most requested features;
- Two new Islands for you to explore!
