Dev Log #6
Hello, Sunny Side Up here with another Dev Note!
Let’s see what new things have been added this month.

We are currently testing with different kind of creatures in the demo version to add them in the game.
Amongst other, here is an introduction to ‘Pompom (temporary name)’, the hottest one from the testing.
Pompom is a huge bird who cannot fly with big 3 feathers attached in its tail.
Pompom is a curious creature. Especially, Pompom is interest in moving things like a child.
For that reason, Pompom sometimes just observe other moving creatures or even Ellie.
Huge feather in Pompom’s tail is one of the useful material used in making potion.
In order to Ellie has to pull out Pompom's tail feathers to make potions, but it won't be easy until she figures out Pompom's lifecycle and patterns.

As the option to accept or refuse the quest has been requested by many, now Ellie can decide whether she wants to do the quests or not.
In the current demo version, NPC's request could not be rejected because there was no accept / refuse option.
There were even cases where NPCs took Ellie’s hard-earned materials for potions for quests.
In this update, not even Ellie can decide whether she wants to do the quests or not, but also she can decide if she wants to use her materials for certain quest as well.

Our dev team thought that the existing portion effect was not working intuitively to show the effects and settings of potions.
Thus, our team is working on improving the delivery of what kind/effect of potion it is with the revision of the effect.
For reference, we want to show you the improvement in the effect of Moon Oil. If you have ever tried 2nd demo version, you might have noticed the change. Previously, Moon Oil has an effect that illustrates the simple spreading of liquid. It was not fully illustrated the feeling of rising moon.
In the revised version, to fully illustrates that it is related to the moon,
the effect was expressed with a cloud, and the central light effect was expressed like a moon, making it look like the cloud is lifted and the moon appears and disappears.
The effects of existing potions are also WIP like the above, and we plan to improve effects so that all new potions to be introduced in the future can express the individuality of each potion.

The cave is an indoor themed location which is different from outdoor green forest and the village.
In the case of the existing green forest, the border of its map was made of wood. However, we have confronted some difficulties since the cave itself is an indoor location so that we had to come up with a different approach.
If you go out through the exit shown in the image, there is another new space.
The alley behind Ellie will lead her to another location beyond.
This location is currently being developed with the special care of dev team, so please check it out for yourself.

We are currently working on to introduce note UI.
Note UI’s page will consist of the following indexes, ‘Quest, ‘Town NPCs’, ‘Keyword’.
Among others, our team is currently working on ‘Quest’ page.
In the 2nd demo, a quest progress window was added to check the brief information, but there was no way to check the details.
Now, the "Quest" page shows the ongoing quests, completed quests, and quests that can be done, and you can see the details of each of those quests.
In this test, the image was made roughly to test the function and value of the quest page.
That's all for today's Dev Note.
Thank you!

*Please note that December’s Dev Note will be replaced with the distribution of the new demo version.
