Dear PlateUp! Players,

Alastair here, developer of PlateUp!, with a quick update now that the game is out in the wild.

I'm absolutely overwhelmed with the response – thank you so much for playing and thanks to everyone who has left feedback. It’s been humbling seeing so many of you enjoying and playing the game over the last week!

Now that launch is out of the way, I wanted to give everyone an update on my plans going forward:

Thanks to everyone's support, I'll be able to continue working on the game, and so you can expect a lots of new, free content over the coming months. Some of that content you will be able to predict, other bits I hope will come as a surprise. But finding ways to keep you all busy in the kitchen and out on the restaurant floor is my top priority.

I'll probably start with fixing up a few things that have cropped up over launch and doing some tweaks, but I'm also going to start planning out some bigger updates too! You'll see a mix of small updates here and there as I tweak things in response to your feedback, followed by larger updates when I release new content – keep an eye on the Steam news feed, or give the game a Follow via the Community Hub to get alerts direct to your Steam client.

We're also exploring other formats, as well as some other surprises – I'll share any news with you all first, of course, but if you have any suggestions or comments, please do join the Discord and let us know there.

Hey everyone,

It's been great seeing everyone enjoy the playtest one final time before release. Normally at the end of a playtest we announce the next one, but instead this time we're going to let you all know the release date instead! We're happy to announce that PlateUp! will be coming to Steam August 4th. Information on pricing and bundle copies will be coming soon!

Thank you to everyone who has been supporting the game and playing the playtests. Your feedback, reports and suggestions have been incredibly valuable and it's been amazing to see all your comments! I'd also like to take this chance to thank our wonderful community moderators Monica and Lemur (and the support team), who have done an invaluable job helping everyone.

If you haven't already, please wishlist the game on Steam; it makes a huge difference.

We're so excited for people to get their hands on it.

Hello Everyone!

We cannot believe how positive the response to the playtests has been with our last one breaking PlateUp!’s concurrent player record. Once again it was brilliant following your progress and hearing about your experiences on the Discord .

We're really happy to welcome you all back, with a sombre feeling I do have to let everybody know that this will be the final playtest before we release the full game. But not all is sad to celebrate the success of the previous playtests; we have decided to extend this playtest for an extra day longer than usual! So please enjoy unrestricted access to PlateUp! for five days straight from July 1st through July 5th. It will end at 12 BST, 14 EET, 7 EDT, 4 PDT as with previous playtests.

Be sure to check back at the end of the playtest as big announcements are on the horizon.

This may be the first time playing for a lot of people so if you have any questions, suggestions, feedback or even looking for a multiplayer session head over to our discord and people will be there to help. (Thanks mods!)

We're happy to confirm that any progress you make in the playtest will carry over to the full release - please do make sure you've added the game to your Steam Wishlist to be notified of launch (plus it helps us a lot.)

We know people have been asking for this, finally the wait is over the Playtest is open to the public for a limited time. This weekend June 3rd through June 6th. It will be ending at 12 BST, 14 EET, 7 EDT, 4 PDT on the 6th so be sure you do not miss out!

If you missed this playtest, we're going to be making these a regular thing and I am happy to say that the next one is planned for 17th June through 19th June. If you want to be involved make sure you request access to the playtest so when it opens up you will be given access! Once you sign up you'll be invited to play in all futute playtests.
