Jingle Jam, Bug Fixes, DLC Progress Update!



Hello Ghoul Hunters:

First of all, thank you all for the amazing Jingle Jam 2023 event! Along with 79 other game devs who donated their games, we were able to raise 2.7 million pounds (3.4 million dollars) for charity. I'd never imagined that I would be part of something this big! I hope you all enjoy the game to the fullest extent :)

Slaughterhouse DLC Update

Since I had been quite busy fixing issues and adding features, progress was a little bit slow; but I was able to complete making most of the rewards you'll receive by completing each playthrough (for a total of 10 new, unique items to spice up your gameplay!)

I'm now back at fleshing out the enemy wave design, and in a couple of days I will be able to record the gameplay for you to see :)

1.76 Patch Update

- Adjusted the environmental sound affects to be more natural

- Fixed a bug with footsteps keep sounding after sitting down at the campfire

- Fixed a bug with player able to slide around while sitting at the campfire

- Fixed a bug with player getting stuck when picking up fish from the water

- Fixed a bug with stamina not draining when sprinting while switching weapons

- Increased the chance for crossbow bolts (excluding the caustic and explosive ones) to be retrieved from dead bodies. If you have the Foraging skill perk for collecting more ammo, then you have a 100% chance of retrieving the bolt from dead bodies.

- Fixed a bug with Spitters not rotating towards target when vomitting

- Fixed a bug with body hit sounds playing for damages received not involving bullets/melee

- Fixed a bug with mutants trying to melee player while his back is facing the player

Update 1.75-2 Patch Notes

- Fixed a bug with Ukrainian and Italian version where the game freezes when closing inventory, with a nearly full backpack

- Buffed the damage for M433 grenade ammo

- Quick save now also saves the amount of calories you have eaten

- Added a new checklist task telling player what to do after translating the research records

Update 1.75-1 Patch Notes

- Added reload speed data to various weapons. Some of them will now reload faster or slower.

- Added another attempt to deal with the bug of character falling to ground and suffer damage when entering a new area

- Increased the ammo drop rate with dead NPCs and traders

- Added 3840x1080 resolution option

- Fixed a bug where when NPC's guns durability reduces to 0, players will keep getting error notifications about it

Update 1.75 Gameplay Improvements!

- Revamped the in-game tutorials to have separate entries for mouse/keyboard controls and gamepad/Deck controls. This will eliminate a lot of confusions, and provides more help for gamepad controls

- Improved the feel of melee with gamepad. Now, your character will swing the weapon towards the direction he's facing or moving towards, if the right analog stick is centered (relaxed). This way you don't have to always hold the right stick. Just walk towards the target and swing the weapon will land a hit.

- Improved the movement style of wolves and armor-less boars. Now they will run zigzag towards you, rather than just run in a straight line. They will also run faster.

- Fixed an issue with animals walking backwards while finding a path towards the enemy

- Added a tutorial about inventory management

- Rebalanced various guns to prepare for the two new LMGs added in Slaughterhouse DLC

- Reduced arm strength requirement for various weapons

- Increased the default backpack size to 9 rows for Normal mode. For hardcore mode it's still 8

- Fixed a bug with melee direction indicator not showing up when your primary weapon (gun) has a laser sight equippped

- Fixed the problem with all-caps in the character creation page

- Fixed a bug with reloading while sprinting not causing any stamina

- Fixed a bug with the indicator arrow still showing when inventory/pop up windows are open

Update 1.74-9 Patch Notes

- Finally! I figured out the problem with keys going missing. It was due to player pressing "Rearrange" button while the keychain is still open, and then put the keys in. This caused the keychain item to be re-built but the keychain UI lost the reference to it, thus not saving the keys. Big thanks to Ember and everyone for helping me finding the root cause!

- I realized that the Ghost of Valentin DLC area is open to players from the get-go, which is not good because it's a highly dangerous place. So now the portal will be first enabled upon 7th day, after player hears the scream at midnight. A tutorial will now pop up, urging player to visit Zernaskaya church and check out the portal.

- There's a warning for entering the DOOWNEVAR portal but it wasn't showing. Now it will show up when player walks into the portal.

- Added more grammar fixes to the Russian translation.
