Tunguska: The Visitation - Enhanced Edition News

New Playable Character Skins

This build adds two new player character skins, both female. There will now be a unique ability of playing female characters: you can earn XP 50% faster! However at the same time, you will suffer more damage when contracted Tunguska Syndrome, and you will be more affected by Visitation events.

Dead Zone Release Date! + 1.68-1 Random Invasions

Woohoo! We finally have an official release date for Tunguska: Dead Zone DLC! It will be released on June 15, one hundred and sixty-six days after it was first announced! If you haven't heard about this DLC: it provides two high-challenge playthroughs, each with lots of new weapons. If you want to replay the game with these new content, or just want to start off with the highest level of difficulty, don't miss out:)

Make sure to wishlist it, that way you'll be notified when it's ready!

Also, as many folks have requested, in version 1.68-1 I implemented random "invasion events" in the game. Basically, human NPCs will randomly launch invasions towards bases/spawn points held by their enemies. From the player's perspective, you will receive a radio notification when this happens, and you can choose to respond to it (within 24 hours) by heading towards the location of invasion. Once there, you can choose to help the defenders or the invaders, knowing that if you are friendly with the faction you help, each kill will give you some bonus in relationship towards that faction. This will help you towards that 100% relationship to unlock premium goods... And, makes the game feel more alive :)

Enjoy!

A Late Easter Celebration... (Update 1.68)

I can't believe that I forgot about my eggs! A few months ago I added raven eggs to the game, along with two cooking recipes for them, but I totally forgot to release these content for Easter XD

But here we have them now! Hope it's not too late :)

- You can now harvest raven eggs when you kill ravens

- You will find two new recipes from Jerry's recipe book: the fried eggs, and deviled eggs. Get cooking!

- There is a new button right below your backpack that says "Rearrange". You know the drill :)

- Added a gameplay option to disable gun jamming for folks who get annoyed by this feature

- Also reduced the chance for a gun to jam as its durability lowers

- You can no longer save-scum by running away from a battle and then sleep/quick save. The game will now check if the enemies are looking for you. If they are aware of you and still remember you, then you can't save. However, you can still leave the area or repair weapons by running away.

- Adjusted the button colliders for dialogue, making it easier to click the buttons.

- The spiders that you summon with stink gourds are buffed. They have more health, and will explode after dying, causing some injury to nearby NPCs (and you)

Finally, please don't forget to wishlist the upcoming Dead Zone DLC for exciting New Game + experience with new enemies and lots of new guns :)

Dead Zone DLC is Now in Free Early Access!!

Woah, what a journey! I don't know if anyone still remembers back in Dec 2022, I announced the Dead Zone DLC about second and third playthoughs:

https://steamcommunity.com/games/1601970/announcements/detail/3646258449553423625

I'm proud to say that this idea has finally come to fruition! The whole thing began with a fan suggesting that after completing the game once, you should be able to bring your skills, stats, and some gears to a second playthrough. And now, the idea became two new game modes, a whole bunch of new guns and gears, new enemy types, and much more! You can read the details here:

https://store.steampowered.com/app/2426340/Tunguska_Dead_Zone/

Now, you can play the Nightmare and Dead Zone mode FOR FREE by applying the beta code "deadzonebeta" in your Steam's "Betas" window. Please note that currently only English and Chinese language are available. I'm hoping to get the rest translated by the time the DLC releases :)

There are two ways for you to play:

1. If you have already completed the first playthrough, you can load the save from before you left Tunguska. You should now equip whatever best gears you want to bring with you on your body (backpack is not included - only the gears on your body. If you want to bring ammo, you can put them in the pockets). And then simply go to your car and leave Tunguska. You will then be asked to confirm to start a new game. Your gears will be in another locker next to Sidor, so just go talk to him to retrieve your stuff.

You will also inherit all your skill points and character stats. The golden spoon, if you managed to earn it in previous playthrough, can be bought directly from the Continental Rangers. Your XP goal for level-up will be reset to up to 1/4 of the current value, plus a 2x-3x XP gain speed in NG+, lets you get back on track to earn more skill points quickly.

Oh also, for those who maxed out the perm serums, your tolerance will be reset to a certain degree as well, so you can increase your stats some more!

2. Or, you can just start a new game (Nightmare or Dead Zone mode) from the main menu by clicking the "New Game+" button. You will, of course, receive no gears/stats/skills from the previous playthrough. It'll be a brand new game. So yea, if you believe in your talent, go for it :)

Finally, a few words of caution: Don't forget to turn off Steam Cloud and backup your saves! They are located at:
C:\Users\\AppData\LocalLow\RotoristWorkshop\Tunguska

And like always, I'll be here watching the community forum and Discord for any bug reports or balancing suggestions, and of course, ideas! I still have a few weeks before the scheduled official launch of the DLC. Thank you and I'll talk to you soon :)

Wishlist Dead Zone DLC! Early Access Open IMMINENT

Dear Ghoul Hunters,

Thank you all for patiently waiting as the Dead Zone DLC undergoes development! I have finally collected enough in-game footage to create a Steam page for it, with a video showing off a few weapons, and some screenshots of the new elite ghouls! You can take a quick peek here:

https://store.steampowered.com/app/2426340/Tunguska_Dead_Zone/

I plan to release the DLC some time in June, and until then I will keep uploading new screenshots and updating the description to reflect whatever new stuff I'll be adding.

Now, in a few days, I will start a free Early Access for the DLC, where you can try out the entirety of the DLC. I have made the NG+ gameplay very very difficult, so the goal of this Early Access is to gather feedback and finetune the difficulty :) Please keep an eye on my announcements - the opening of EA is IMMINENT!

============

Also, I updated the game to 1.67-9 version with the following changes:

- In Ravenwood, you can now use the boat at your house to travel to either the Rangers camp or Lake Kraken church. Should save you a bit of running time. You just need to enter the boat from a different angle to hit the trigger for either travel directions.

- When a full-auto gun's durability reduces, it'll start shooting a bit slower and irregularly.

- Successful melee attack will now increase your fitness skill a little bit.

- Greatly reduced the price of backpack extensions sold by merchants. But Jian Jun is still a cutthroat - his extension still costs 15000.

- You can now secretly raise your relationship with the Mongols by delivering food orders. Once you reach 100%, Jian Jun (if he's still alive) will sell you poison that you can apply to your melee weapons for an extra caustic damage.
