La Zone En français! Also, Regarding Language Support
French Translation
Much thanks to these kind folks who have worked tirelessly, French localization is now available! :)

Thank you so much!

Tunguska has a staggering 70,000+ word count (sometimes I hate myself for writing so much, haha) in dialogues, journals, notes, books, item descriptions, and UI elements, translating it to any languages is a colossal effort. With the help from our community, Tunguska is now available in eight languages!

Of course, if you notice any issues with the French translation, please let me know. I tested it as much as I can and made corrections/improvements, but I have only learned French for one semester 15 years ago in college :) And then I tried to survive in Paris for 3 days while speaking French only. Between getting drunk and passing out in the Louvre, and missing the flight home, I think it went pretty well :P
Future Language Support?
To be honest, supporting eight languages is already driving me crazy, even if all the translation work is already done. I have to do a lot UI adjustments to fit the text in, a lot of testing to find errors and bugs, and then whenever I make any little changes to the game, I have to duplicate this change across all the languages, AND test each one of them... I think I'm pretty much at the top of my capacity now, because I'm now starting to work on the sequel, and really don't have much spare time to expand Tunguska 1 further.

But I would really appreciate if folks who need new languages can understand my challenges. I don't ever say never when it comes to feature requests, so even if I say I can't support more languages right now, it doesn't mean I won't ever. I just have to let God decide when the time comes. So if you would like to suggest me to include another language, please open a thread in the community forum, and see how many players will follow and bump it. That's basically how we achieved French and German localization! This really is the best way to drive feature request with any developers, not by leaving negative reviews to force me or blackmail me.

Although many AAA companies might not care about their reviews (after all they just want the profit), for us indie devs, the review score mean *everything* to us. We work very hard to listen to the feedback and implement any improvements requested, hoping to raise and keep the score we achieved. Nothing devastate us more than getting unfair negative reviews.

Thank you for your support always :)

Update 1.91-6 Patch Notes

- Since you can now get the garrote before starting the potato farm quest, you should be able to strangle a Legionnaire before he's aggroed. This update now allows this.

- When a NPC discovers a body from his own faction, he will now alert 1-3 nearby teammates to be on high alert for some time. But he will not do that if the body has already been looted.

- Randomized the "timeout" when a NPC conducts certain activities such as investigating a disturbance before he gives up

- Fixed a bug where player can interact with a certain NPC after he dies

- Clarified in the tutorial that ignoring a serum order will not punish the player, but declining it will hurt relationship

- Visitations will no longer happen in Doownevar

A Message from Sidor

Alright wankers, I think we had a good year, heh? You see, we sold a lot of alcohol, made some good money, got our potato farm and brewery back, and we got rid of the mole that stole our blueprint!

We also lost some good boys. Artyom, Georgy, Washer. Igor and Ivan. We will always remember them! And sadly, our alcohol business is starting to dry up now, because for God-knows-why, the serum orders from the Outside has stopped, so they don't need our alcohol no more.

But let us lighten up, now. Because there is a new hope! And a new future for us is awaiting! Hey you, Razor, put that bottle down. I'm still talking! Yes, yes, I know, I'll let you pack up as much Sidor's Vodka as you can carry. Don't worry!

I have heard from my hush-hush sources about a new way to make money, something about "empties". I have no God-damn idea what they are, but I heard that people are paying good money for it! So I'm going to send Razor and Hans to find out what's going on. If what I heard was true, then guess what - we will start packing and go build a new home deep in the Zone!

Razor and Hans will set out in a few days. Some brave boys they are for volunteering! I heard that a new type of distortion showed up over there, called "snow fall" or "white fall" or whatever, let's hope they both come back in one piece! Hahahaha. So, as a warm farewell, we're gonna throw them a party tonight, on New Year's Eve! There will be food, fireworks, guitar contest, and of course, All-You-Can-Chug Sidor's Vodka!

So let's get started. Um, you, Demyan, and you, Yegor, go to the cemetery and shoot some ravens. And they aren't gonna roast themselves, are they?

Well, that's all I got. Thank you all for your hard work, and Happy New Year!

Update 1.91-5 Patch Notes

- To accommodate players who wish to play stealth as soon as possible, I have made the "combat training" from Razor (especially the one that teaches you how to stealth kill) available earlier, right after you complete his first job. However:

1. You still have to pay for it
2. If you choose to receive the stealth kill training, when you start fighting the Legionnaires in the barn, Bootleggers will no longer come to help you

- Improved and fixed some small quirks with inventory

- Added the "RB" glyph in the pocket items list in the HUD, to help remind controller players to hold RB (combo button) while pressing Dpad to quick-use pocket items

- In any game mode, as soon as you gain the Eraser rank with Haruko, the Elm trees will start dropping Elm branches

More Controller Enhancement!

First of all this patch fixes a bug introduced in the previous patch, where a AI database caching problem caused NPCs to not respond to thrown rocks in some circumstances.

With the enhancements to controller in the last patch, I feel there's still more player friction. So I decided to do away with the "hold LT to enter grid cursor mode", and instead, as soon as you hover the cursor over an inventory grid, it'll automatically enter the grid mode. To exit from that, you simply move the grid cursor to the edge of the grid as if it's the actual cursor, and then the real cursor will show up there. I think this change makes inventory management a lot more enjoyable than before.

But you can still hold LT or use the Dpad while in the grid cursor mode. This will ensure that the cursor doesn't "leave the grid" when at the edge, and the movement is slightly slower to help you pinpoint the position.

This fix has been a... nightmare to implement, so to speak :) So I hope there's no issues with it, but if you do, please let me know in the forums :)

Other fixes included in the patch:

- Kicking won't shake the camera if you aren't hitting anything with your foot

- While holding an item in grid cursor mode, the entire item is highlighted instead of just showing the grid cursor at the bottom left corner of the item

- You won't be able to enter grid mode if the inventory grid is not accessible for the item you are holding
