Tunguska: The Visitation - Final Cut News

Quick bug fix

While I was fixing the problem with drinking Potion of Elation, I noticed a major logical error in the code that verifies if the item can be used at the moment. I fixed it for Potion of Elation but screwed it up for food, backpack upgrade, and repair kit.

1.71-1 will fix this issue.

De-janking Tunguska; DLC Update

Thank you for all the feedback! I took some time and drilled hard at the small issues that makes the game janky, and you'll have a much better time now with update 1.71 :)

- Added a "Destroy" button for when you loot a dead body. The button will be clickable when the loot is empty, so that you can get rid of this body to get to the other ones. This will help a lot for when the bodies stack on each other.

- When you eat, the green bar (eaten calories) will update while you are in the inventory screen

- Fixed a bug with Potion of Elation not drinkable unless you have low health + radiation + T syndrome

- Swapped the B and X button for controllers in UI mode, in order to match the common scheme used by other games. E.g. you press B to close a window instead of X

- You can now delete old saves! Just load your game, press Esc, click "Load", and you'll see the Delete buttons. It'll also ask you to confirm delete.

- A tutorial will pop up when Legionnaires first become hostile towards you, and it'll prompt you to hide behind covers (for new players)

- When your weapon's durability runs out (to zero), you'll get a console error about it. If you then open the inventory, the broken weapon will have a red background.

- Added more accent objects around Zernaskaya maps to make the roads less empty

- Placed blocks on steep stairs to smooth out the player's animation, and reduce chance of fall damage

- While in melee mode with ChaseCam control scheme, if you go next to a container it'll be highlighted, that way you don't miss it. You still have to put away your weapon to open it, this way you don't accidentally open them while swinging at enemies.

- Alcohol and gasoline will no longer be used as fuel in crafting/cooking since wood is much more abundant now. This also helps avoiding confusion for new players who tend to put alcohol in the fuel box instead of the ingredients box

- Visitation that drains your health will not kill you but leave you with 1 hp. This is to avoid situations where you are stuck in a spawn-death loop

- More enemies are added to the Army Cordon area to increase its challenge. It's still possible to get past this stage in three ways: jumping over the wall from the roof, use stealth to power up the generator and open the gate, or just kill them all. You just have to be a little more careful now.

I'm sure there might be other issues, so please feel free to let me know anywhere any time!

Regarding Shadow Master DLC - I just finished translating the text to Chinese, Russian, and Ukrainian. Italian is still underway. I'm going to add one more weapon (to go with the Haruko story) and will most likely release it this coming week!

Also, if you don't mind writing me a short review, it will mean a lot to me, and help me tremendously :)

Thank you!

Update 1.70-3 Patch Notes

- Added some covers outside the barn to help player with gunfight

- Fixed a bug with carry weight not updating when picking up an item

- Fixed a bug with second sidearm's weight not calculated

- Added a warning and confirmation when player clicks "Load Last Save"

- Corrected the serum-XR recipe

- Player will now aim at NPCs with a lead based on relative velocity, IF the player has the "Accuracy" skill perk for the equipped gun type

- Slightly raised the lock-on aim point on an NPC for full auto weapons

- KS23 shotgun (Nightmare mode) will now always knock back the target

- Fixed various places in the game where Panned/Fixed mode cursor cannot interact with objects

- If player has very low energy when knocked out in Ashinaka, some energy is added to help the player

- When manually firing a full-auto gun in bursts, the recoil assist (which causes the gun to not fire for a second when the player experienced too much recoil) is removed for a smoother experience.

- Added the ability to aim at the buildings in Ravenwood to hide the roof, which helps with occasions when an enemy is under the roof and hard to aim at

- Crows will now drop more feathers in Deadzone and Sticks & Stones mode

- Further improved the panned camera movement during teleportation

Update 1.70-2 Patch Notes

- Fixed a bug where loading a game in Ravenwood breaks due to a broken portal object that I added accidentally in the 1.70-1 update

- For RUS version, made sure the potion of elation recipe fits into one page

- For panned camera mode, sped up camera panning movement when the camera is very far from the player (such as when you get teleported)

1.70-1 Lots of Fixes!

I apologize for the delay of releasing the Shadow Master DLC. After the beta test, I received some feedback so I'm going to take a few more days working on those:)

But in the mean time, I'm releasing 1.70-1 patch which contains a lot of improvements:

- If you have unlocked the Tesla Model 69 rifle, you can try using it to shoot at the ripples indicating fish herd. It might kill some fish for you!

- Added a cover object in luxury house area to help players avoid getting killed immediately when travelling from Water Treatment Plant

- You can now SHIFT-LMB click a thrown weapon in the backpack to automatically equip it into the EXPL slot, if only the backpack is open. If there's already another item in the EXPL slot, it'll be swapped with the thrown weapon you want to equip.

- Enlarged the invisible floor under the Station 11 train hangar. This way when you exit the hangar, the hangar roof doesn't immediately pop out and block your view

- You can now sell the Chechen Ledger (which you would normally sell to Alexei) to Vladmir for a little higher price, if you decide to not sell it to Alexei

- Improved the code that ensures player spawns at the intended location to avoid falling damage

- Added an entrance to the basement in player house in Ravenwood. The entrance is a trap door in the kitchen, and in the basement, there's a metal ladder that takes you back to the kitchen. This helps player access basement storage units more conveniently while cooking.

- In the basement added a mushroom growing bed which you can buy from Venkat. It'll automatically respawn mushroom over time.

- Crossbows will now leave bolt after shooting at dead bodies

- The Engineer Guide (Dead Zone mode, sold by Hans) now includes a recipe for crafting landmines. This way you don't have to always use the Jackhammer for that.

- Added sound effect for dive-roll action

- Dive-roll and jump now support i-frame: between the moment you press the key to jump, and the moment you land on the ground, player will be invincible from melee attacks.

- The game will remind player to save the game after making some change to the player notes

- Player can now sprint a little bit faster if weapon is holstered

- Fixed a bug with save game making previous saves dirty, causing items to disappear from traders

- Cannot use backpack extension when there's a carry weight boost active, to avoid messing up the base value
