V Rising gets big price hike ahead of full launch

I like vampires. I like survival games. So, shock to no one, I really like V Rising. Stunlock's Dracula-themed adventure intrigued me from the get-go, and I - like many - have plowed countless hours into its early access. However, with the 1.0 launch firmly marked in the calendar, Stunlock has confirmed that V Rising's price will be increasing - and the jump is pretty significant.

V Rising Early Access Price - Last Chance

When we launched into Early Access back in May 2022, we made V Rising available for its current price with the understanding that we were delivering a game still in development. Players could hop on board at a better rate, creating a great deal for early adopters eager to dive into V Rising while also supporting its development.

After two years in Early Access, five years of development, and significant progress in the game, the price will now be increased to reflect its full value. We’re happy to be approaching the full 1.0 version of V Rising this May 8th, 2024 with another massive update to complete the Vampire Experience! That means we’ll be increasing the price of V Rising on Steam to 34.99 USD/EUR.

Right now is your last chance to get V Rising at its current price: 19.99 USD/EUR. It will be available for this price until April 5th, 2024, roughly one month before the full release date. If you or your friends have been waiting until the last moment to get their hands on V Rising, this is your heads-up to stop biding your time and enact your master plan! The pricing for DLCs will remain unchanged, and all existing DLCs will continue to be available on launch.

V Rising gets the crossover every self-respecting vampire wants: Castlevania's Simon Belmont is coming to try and kill you

V Rising is getting a free Castlevania crossover to coincide with its 1.0 launch

V Rising confirmed it would reach 1.0 on May 8th just a couple of weeks ago, delivering changes to the survival action RPG's PvP and endgame.

There's an extra sweetener in 1.0 announced today, however: a Castlevania crossover where players can fight Simon Belmont and make off with his whip.

Stunlock Studios and Konami have joined forces to bring V Rising and Castlevania together via a content crossover titled Legacy of Castlevania.

Available in V Rising at release, Legacy of Castlevania finds famed vampire hunter Simon Belmont arriving in Vardoran to challenge all vampires. With his legendary whip and arsenal of holy weaponry, no night stalker will be safe from his crusade. But, if you defeat him, you will unlock the secrets of his iconic weapon, which in turn offers new combat abilities.

While Legacy of Castlevania, including Simon Belmont and the new whip weapon, will come as free content, a Legacy of Castlevania Premium Pack cosmetic DLC pack will be available for purchase. This pack allows you to construct castles inspired by Castlevania’s classic gothic aesthetic, enjoy character customization options inspired by classic Castlevania characters, and ride across the land on your new skeletal mount. You can even set the tone in your castle with two Castlevania themes reimagined by V Rising composer Aleksandria Migova.
