Let’s celebrate Halloween with another dev update!

Here is a preview:

One of our producers and resident loremasters, Max, has been collaborating with the art team to expand on some of the denizens of the swamps, witches! The witches of the Cursed Forest are primal beings, magically able to twist nature to their own corrupt purpose. To this end, like most sentient creatures, they use this power to craft their homes. Their dens are a mix between the resilience of nature and the corrupt magics and rituals of their terrifying residents.

In the wake of the gameplay trailer, we figured everyone might be hungry for some more information on the experience of playing V Rising. We are thrilled to announce the release of V Rising’s Gameplay Trailer. Awaken as a vampire and live the fantasy of becoming the next Dracula in an action-packed survival game.

To survive as a vampire, you need to hunt for blood in nearby settlements and hide from the scorching sun. Explore a vast open-world together with friends or hunt solo as you pillage villages, raid bandit camps, and traverse the wild territories of supernatural beasts. Rebuild your castle in a quest to raise your vampire empire. Play politics or wage war against other players in a world of conflict. Claw your way up the food chain and claim your place as the apex predator of a dark fantasy realm.

In this dev blog, we take a closer look at the narrative behind V Rising and shed a bit more light on the story we told in the reveal trailer. It’s been important to our team to have a narrative foundation for our world.

When you play V Rising it will be you telling us your story, and we want to take the chance to introduce you to some of the broader details of the world you’ll be telling that story in.
