WARNO's 2026 Updated Roadmap
Hello commanders!
We hope you are well. Now, originally, we wanted to start 2026 with a bang and release WARNO’s latest mini-expansion Nemesis #5 - Southern Flank first thing, but alas, the technical gremlins struck again.
This means a slight delay on that DLC (more on that below), which in turn leads us to… WARNO’s 2026 updated Roadmap, to be tackled in today’s DevBlog.
Lots to unpack, lots to look forward to, so let’s go!
WARNO 2026 Roadmap
A new year, and a new roadmap for WARNO. We are still going strong, and we have plenty of cool stuff coming your way. The following timeline is chronological and very much a tentative work-in-progress. It should roughly cover the following six months. Keep in mind: things might change, dates re-arranged, switched around, you know the drill.
Nemesis #5 - Southern Flank
First thing on the list: Nemesis #5 - Southern Flank. A slight hiccup and delay, but the bugs that plagued the mini-expansion have been squashed. We need to rebuild and test the new version before we can share it with you. Expect this Nemesis DLC to go live next week.
Nemesis #6 - The Magdeburg Counterstrike
Next up is Nemesis #6 - The Magdeburg Counterstrike, the winner of the last community vote. This mini-expansion will feature two armored-centric battlegroups (both #1!), bringing NATO’s US 1st Cavalry Division and the Soviet 1-ya Gvardeyskaya Proletarskaya Motostrelkovaya Diviziya (or the 1st Guards Proletarian Motorized Infantry Division). We can confirm that unit modelling is already underway.

Check out more details below (including previews of the divisions and their units).
LANDJUT Expansion
On to something new: the LANDJUT expansion. This major DLC will follow Steel Division 2’s Tribute format, meaning a large roster of different divisions, but no Army General or Operations. This type of expansion is quicker to produce and deliver for us.

LANDJUT will feature 8 new divisions playable in Skirmish and Multiplayer, including a brand-new nation, Denmark. The theme of this expansion will focus heavily on famous naval infantry battlegroups from both NATO and the Warsaw Pact. We are hard at work modelling all the fancy equipment, and we’ll soon start disclosing the new units and divisions in our upcoming DevBlogs.
Nemesis #7
We’re already looking ahead to the next Nemesis DLC. This one will be “ours” to pick in order to speed up production. The mini-expansion’s theme has been decided; we will reveal it in due time.
A new mystery Tribute-style expansion
Hot off the press, but due to recent real-life events, we will rearrange some content we had originally planned for later along our pipeline. We’ll keep the lid on the exact details, but more info to come in the future!
Nemesis #8 Community Vote
Sometime later in the first half of 2026, we will open the vote for Nemesis #8. Now, this is going to be a special round, as we will allow the “unliked” contenders from previous Nemesis up on the stage for a run-off vote.

There will be some special rules involved, and perhaps not all previous battlegroups might be included for voting again, but more details will become available in the future!
Black Birds Expansion
After LANDJUT, we have another Tribute-style expansion coming, also with 8 new divisions. This expansion is called Black Birds from either neutral nations or very reluctant alliance members. In WARNO, they will be forced to side with either NATO or the Warsaw Pact.

From our teaser art, the community has already (correctly) identified four of the five nations: Switzerland and Austria (NATO), and Hungary and Albania (Warsaw Pact). But which is the fifth one? And on which side will they be? The suspense is killing. In the meantime, one last clue… follow the black bird.

That’s all for this roadmap. As you can see, plenty of good fun and exciting stuff is coming WARNO’s way!
Nemesis #5 - Southern Flank
Nemesis #5 - Southern Flank keeps the SOUTHAG theme in focus with two new battlegroups locked in combat on the southern reaches of the West German front, near the Austrian border. The DLC features the Spanish División de Infantería Mecanizada «Guzmán el Bueno» n.º 2, or Mechanised Division No.2 "Guzmán el Bueno" for NATO, and the Czechoslovakian 2. Motostřelecká Divize, or 2nd Motor Rifle Division, fighting for the Warsaw Pact.
You’ll get to play with an arsenal of new units, from light M47E2 tanks, GUERILLEROS commandos, and L-10D3 300mm MLRS, to POHRANIČNÍCI mountain warfare border guards, SU-7BKL ground attack aircraft, and R-330T TARAN recon vehicles.
Until Next Time
Tune in early next week for Nemesis #5 - Southern Flank, of course, to be followed by our regular DevBlog later.
