World War III engulfs Europe. The first few days of high-intensity combat have drained stocks of munitions and supplies, with many formations of both NATO and the Warsaw Pact decimated after the grueling fight. Both sides rush to deploy reinforcements to the European battlefield, including critical cross-ocean REFORGER units and second-echelon battlegroups deep from the USSR’s interior.
An opportunity presents itself for NATO to take the fight to the enemy in northern East Germany, around Magdeburg. Communist military commanders see the danger and hastily deploy whatever force they can muster.
Nemesis - The Magdeburg Counterstrike brings two new “premier” divisions, featuring new units, vehicles, and weapons.
NATO’s U.S. 1st Cavalry Division, with its allied British armor, advances against the anti-tank forces of the Warsaw Pact’s Soviet 1-ya Gvardeyskaya Proletarskaya Motostrelkovaya Diviziya or the 1st Guards Proletarian Motorized Infantry Division.
An arsenal of new units will be available to command, from M2 BRADLEY IFVs, up-armored M1 MOD main battle tanks and the YCQM-121A PAVE TIGER drone, to T-72AV tanks, PERO UAVs, and MiG-25PD interceptors.
[h2]LANDJUT in brief[/h2]
Next to Nemesis #6 - The Magdeburg Counterstrike, we are also busy previewing the upcoming major expansion, WARNO - LANDJUT. It will bring 8 new Divisions to WARNO, playable in Skirmish and Multiplayer, with one brand-new nation, Denmark. This means a host of new weapons, units, vehicles, and battlegroups in a Tribute-style DLC, but no new Operations or Army General campaigns.
