EA Pack Plus Available Now!
Hello commanders,
Hot on the heels of the Nemesis #2 vote (in which Nemesis #2.2 - Plateau d'Albion won the epic struggle for your vote), we are back with even more exciting stuff!
That’s right, the beefed-up EA Pack (so-called EA Pack “Plus”) has seen the light today. The news comes together with a major balance patch, including two new Traits.

[h2]EA Pack “Plus”[/h2]
To refresh your memory: during WARNO’s official launch out of Early Access, we encountered some technical hiccups and other snafus, especially affecting the WARNO’s Early Access owners.
To make amends, we promised to add two new divisions for free to the EA Pack. The EA Pack, featuring five divisions, was made available for free to all EA owners of WARNO.

The EA Pack “Plus” doesn’t change anything to the price or even the name; it is our project name for the two extra divisions that are added - free of charge to all owners - to the EA Pack.
[h2]The New Divisions[/h2]
The current roster of 5 divisions will see the NATO’s US 35th Infantry Division and Warsaw Pact’s Rügener Gruppierung added.
They will bring a host of new toys and units to play with, and even a brand-new nation: the communist Polish Armed Forces!

As mentioned at the beginning, the release of the EA Pack “Plus” also heralds the arrival of a major balance patch (see the link for the change log), bringing two new Traits.

NATO’s US 35th Infantry Division:
- The US 35th Infantry Division is a true National Guard formation and, thanks to its plentiful armored battalions, acts as a missing link between a US Army’s mechanized and tank divisions. Many of its units feature the Reservist trait.
- New units include the heavy M813A1 supply truck, multitude of new N.G. RIFLES and N.G. ENGINEERS squads, M40A1 RCL jeep, military police M1025 HUMVEE MP, M29 81mm mortar, N.G. M60A1 RISE and N.G. M60A3 (TTS) ERA main battle tank plus variants.
- The list continues with N.G. M60A1 ACAV recon tanks, N.G. M150A2 TOW-2, the new slow-moving but useful OA-37B DRAGONFLY recon plane with rocket payload, the special N.G. XM1058 US-ROLAND SAM system, older N.G. M42A1 DUSTER SPAAG, N.G. REDEYE MANPAD teams, N.G. AH-1S (ECAS) and UH-1M GUNSHIP helicopters, and the close air support variant of the AB-37B in both HE and NPLM loadouts.
Warsaw Pact’s Rügener Gruppierung:
- The mixed East German and Polish Rügener Gruppierung contains various detachments and formations under a single, unified command. And, of course, the new Polish Armed Forces!
- New units featured are East German MARINEPIONIER in plentiful variants, plus new Polish mechanized infantry as PIECHOTA ZMECH. in various flavors, being brought to the battlefield in STAR-266 transports or TOPAS-2A APCs.
- Other new units include SPW-50PK(MRF) short-range but powerful “mine-clearing” MLRS, towed PAK K-52 85mm, Polish T-55AM MERIDA, RES.-AUFKLÄRER scouts, BRDM-1 scout car, East German PIO.AUFK.-TAUCHER scout-engineer diver squads and elite KSK special forces.
- The list continues with AUKL.Mi-14PL radar recon and AUFKL. Mi-8TB regular recon helicopters plus Mi-14PL anti-ship variant, the FLAK S-60 57mm and FLAK KS-19M2 100mm towed AA, FASTA-4 SAM, including self-propelled LO-1800 FASTA-4 variant, W50 LA/A 25mm gun truck, and the massive brutish 2K11M3 KRUG-M3 SAM system. The ancient Polish Lim-6M forms part of the air force, plus new anti-tank and HE cluster variants of the Su-22M4K [AT2] and MiG-23BN [KMGU] respectively.

The two new traits are Airlift and Electro-Optical Dazzler:
- The Airlift trait applies to both light equipment transportable by airborne units and the big helicopters that do the heavy lifting. A vehicle with the AIRLIFT trait will be transportable inside an AIRLIFTER, as is currently the case with infantry squads. Light equipment and vehicles with the AIRLIFT trait include KRAKA, LuAZ, M274 MULE vehicles, as well as D30, L118, M102 and NONA-K artillery or fire support guns. AIRLIFTER helicopters apply to American CHINOOK, CH-53G and the Soviet Mi-8. More of each will be added in the future.
- ELECTRO-OPTICAL DAZZLER trait refers to active protection systems disrupting the guidance systems of ATGMs. This prevents the anti-tank guided missiles from getting a good lock on their target or breaking this lock if already established. As a relatively modern system, in-game, it means that ground vehicles with the ELECTRO-OPTICAL DAZZLER trait will receive an ECM rating, like airplanes. This will disrupt ATGM accuracy. In real life, EOD systems were very effective against older missiles but nearly useless against more advanced ones; however, we don’t have the option to make this difference in-game. As such, we opted for the generic 10% “ECM” against all ATGMs of any kind. Only two vehicles have an EOD feature (and are actually modeled): the French AMX-30B2 BRENUS and AMX-10RC SURBLINDE. While rare in our time frame, a few more vehicles featuring EOD and its linked trait will be added in the future.
