Palworld has now got a staggering 19 million players, an unstoppable rise that means it's got a bigger population than the Netherlands

It's official: Palworld has a bigger population than 127 literal countries, including Senegal, Somalia, the Netherlands, and Chad. That's according to Pocketpair's sales statistics and this Wikipedia list of countries by population, anyway, with the news that Palworld has now has a soul-boggling 19 million players around the world. That's 12 million copies sold on Steam and 7 million people (many via Game Pass) on Xbox. It released 13 days ago, in case you were wondering...

Palworld glitch lets you carry 9,999 of anything like a legally distinct Sisyphus hauling pal spheres up a mountain

Encumbrance always sucks and I won't hear any different. I don't care about realism, I want my little loincloth man to be able to carry 99 washing machines in an invisible back pocket while sprinting up a mountain. I hate having to stop and sift through my inventory to junk all the things I don't need. Encumbrance in videogames: just say no...

Palworld update fixes save-bricking capture bug, permanently-nerfing respec juice, and Pals randomly levitating or dying to 'unexplained falling damage'

New Palworld patch stops other players stealing your best pals and makes pal breeding easier

Palworld, the survival game filled with legally distinct Pokémon and numerous Glock-19s, has received its first major patch. Straight off the production line are fixes to crashes, as well as enemy pals getting stuck in walls. And if you've been plagued by other players stealing your flock, then worry no longer, as pal spheres chucked at your low-HP pals won't capture them anymore. Breeding also becomes easier, with the removal of some annoying flourishes. There's a lot more and it gets progressively sillier.

Sorry Palworld bandits, you can't steal other player's Pals anymore

Palworld developer PocketPair has released a new patch today, fixing a major bug that allowed people to catch and steal pals from other players. In addition, the game will no longer crash and ruin your save file if you catch over 7,000 pals. Good news for aspiring Pal hoarders out there.

There is some bad news attached to this patch, however. If your save file is already affected by the 7,000 pal crash bug, then it sadly won't be salvagable as of right now. PocketPair has announced that it's working on a permanent fix for this, but as of now those few out of the 19 million Palworld players who have gone out of their way to catch an absurd number of pals may still be left impacted.

There are other smaller fixes and additions too. Pals will no longer get stuck in walls following charge attacks, which is a universal win. In addition, mouse side-buttons and numeric keypads are aso getting support, which is darn nice for those PC players still playing the game.
