Palworld updates will add PvP arenas, Raid bosses, new islands, server transfers and Steam-Xbox crossplay

Forthcoming Palworld updates will add PvP multiplayer arenas, raid bosses, Xbox feature improvements, Steam-Xbox crossplay, extra islands, server transfers, new Pals and new technologies, according to an early access roadmap just released by developers Pocketpair. The monster-catching survival sim continues to set concurrent play records on Steam, and Pocketpair are presently focussed on fixing bugs. Beyond that, though, the sky appears to be the limit, as you might expect of a game that shifted a million copies in eight hours. In particular, Pocketpair seem markedly more confident about the odds of adding PvP to the game, having downplayed the idea in interviews before release.

This Palworld exploit lets you catch bosses and add them to your party

If you’re looking for a way to get a leg up in the very popular, but also very controversial Palworld, a new glitch that’s been uncovered by players will let you work a bit of magic to capture some powerful tower boss Pals - and their human riders.

While the game’s been found to have plenty of other bugs so far, most of them have been of the frustrating variety, rather than resembling this kind of potentially useful little exploit. For example, being greeted with a black screen on startup - an issue which Pocketpair aimed to fix on certain platforms with an update it deployed yesterday - isn’t exactly something that can help you become Lord of all Pals.

However, one glitch recently spotted by players (thanks, PC Gamer) looks like it might be, assuming you’re interested in using a little trickery to capture a tower boss. It looks like the most obvious target to try and perform the glitch on is the early boss pairing of Zoe and Grizzbolt, who you can find at Rayne Syndicate Tower.

Palworld players discovered an exploit for capturing bosses and turning them into party members

It turns out that one of the best pals to catch early on in Palworld is actually, somehow, one of its bosses. The first major goal in Palworld is taking your team to challenge the tower bosses and their giant Pals but thanks to an exploit players have found, you can actually just catch those extremely powerful creatures, human pal tamer still astride them and everything. I've managed to reproduce the trick myself, so it's definitely still doable if you too want to perform a corporate takeover on the local tower bosses...

Palworld continues to break records, with 1.8 million concurrent players on Steam

Palworld, that survival game mashup, continues to grow in popularity. In the past 24 hours, its peak concurrent player count reached 1,864,421, the second highest of any game on Steam, ever. It took that spot from Counter-Strike 2 and the only game to reach higher is now PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, aka Plunkbat, aka PUBG.
