A Little to the Left stars in this year's Cozy Quest

Hey everyone,

We've got a surprise for you this week.

Cozy Quest is a major celebration of all things cozy, featuring a heap of comforting games, sales, developer interviews, let’s plays, and livestreams, starting today and running until 18 November. It's a Steam festival hosted by A Little to the Left publisher Secret Mode - you can access the event right here - and this year we're taking part in the event with a developer let's play.

On Sunday 17 November, you can catch Annie and Lukas (and Rookie!) playing A Little to the Left and answering questions about the game's development. Join us from 05:10 PT / 08:10 ET / 13:10 GMT / 14:10 CET to discover the team's favorite puzzles and learn about the inspirations behind our tidying-up puzzle game.

If you've yet to experience A Little to the Left yourself, you can pick it up for 40% off during the event.

Elsewhere in Cozy Quest there are developer let's plays, interviews, panels, and announcements galore. Visit the event page to discover cozy demos and hidden gems, and watch the event's opening showcase to see what's new in the world of cozy gaming:

Can't make it on Sunday? We'll upload the video here afterwards so you can watch it at your leisure.

We hope you enjoy our upcoming let's play/Q&A combo, and look forward to reading your comments.

3.1.0 & 3.1.4 Patch Notes - Seeing Stars DLC Bugfixes

Hello everyone, you may have noticed that there have been a couple of updates released on Steam within the past month: v3.1.0 and v3.1.4. These updates are focused on fixing bugs introduced from the Seeing Stars patch that were causing some friction or inconsistencies. We still have more to look at (there always is), but this covers a good chunk.
Patch Notes:
v3.1.0
• Fixed an issue where clicking on objects in the DLC2 Boss while the drawer was closing would cause the Gems phase to be skipped, going straight to the next objects puzzle phase, leading to a blocker state where the level would not trigger completion upon solving all three objects puzzle phases
• Picked up Gems in the DLC2 Boss will no longer appear behind other Gems
• The Heart Robot in DLC2 Robots level could have Hearts placed down near its knees if the Robot had not first had its state changed, now Hearts can only be placed in the open chest cavity.
• Hearts container for Heart Robot in DLC2 Robots level can no longer become misaligned if the Robot was moved partially offscreen while the chest cavity was open.
• Objects are now unable to be picked up while a drawer is transitioning state. This behaviour could lead to a condition where objects could become stuck in a partially non-interactive state and unable detect targets.
• Objects can no longer be pulled out of a closed drawer if very close to the edge (such as in the DLC2 Materials Drawer level), which could lead to objects becoming lost out of play.
• When holding an object, drawer in DLC2 Combs level now only automatically opens on handle hover
• Selecting the “Play” button on the Title Screen will now resume play from last unlocked level (or last played level if New Game+) when main Campaign is selected.
• Boxes will no longer become non-interactive in the DLC1 Nested Boxes level if set down loose within the cabinet, and another Box is placed into its target placement location atop of it.
• Improved action when clicking the toggle buttons in the Lamp level when Tap to Hold setting is active.
• Hacky Sack in the DLC2 Balls level now reliably collapses when hitting the floor, and will no longer become inadvertently rotated if had collided with another ball.
• Objects in the Buttons level, and associated sorting Daily Tidy level, now exhibit shadows.
• Radial Dance Party will now progress more reliably from Cat Toys and Soup Cans phases
• Improved compatibility of Quick Select functions in Radial Dance Party
• Cacti in DLC2 Cacti level can no longer get stuck floating in the air
• DLC2 Cacti level will no longer solve for height solution if the Cacti are in correct order, but two pots are reversed
• It is no longer possible to clear the paw prints through the newspapers or rug in the first phase of the Wet Paw Prints level
• The bottom right plant leaf in second phase of the Wet Paw Prints level will no longer become non-interactive if clicked immediately when the phase objects become interactable
• Cursor will no longer highlight paw prints as interactive in the Wet Paw Prints level
• Fixed layering issues with the newspaper and rug in the Wet Paw Prints level
• Prints left by the cat in the third phase of the Wet Paw Prints level can no longer land out of bounds
• Increased collision accuracy for the paw swipe in third phase of the Wet Paw Prints level
• Improved performance of cleaning cloths in the Wet Paw Prints, Wilted Flowers, and Dirty Coins levels
• Cursor will no longer remain holding Coins in the Dirty Coins level when Tap To Hold is active
• Steam Achievements now unlock properly if internet connection is lost while in Online Mode
• Foods will no longer fidget after being placed in the Tupperware Nesting level
• Accordion handles will no longer disappear when placing the Accordion in the DLC2 Music Box level
• Stacked objects in the Fridge and Mirror levels now properly detect solve condition when were aligned or passively moved outside of final placement position, then passively moved into placement by way of interaction from an object lower in the stack
• Corrected hints for the Archive Something Eggstra Painted Eggs solutions
• Corrected hint for the DLC2 Forks “Ornaments” solution
• Added detail of interaction points on the Compass and retractable Protractor in DLC2 Math Set hints
• Increased the size of the interaction point on the retractable Protractor in DLC2 Math Set to be a bit more obvious, and updated level icon to match
• Icons on the computer in the Desktop Computer level will now detect placement if another previously occupying icon is moved out of the way
• Art for double-barrelled and banded Whistles in the DLC2 Whistles puzzle updated for clarity
• Hints for DLC2 Whistles level updated to clarity
• Background removed in DLC2 Whistles level to reduce visual noise
• Restored missing collision SFX for Whistles in DLC2 Whistles level
• Changed the Cucumbers to Celery in DLC2 Leftovers level to avoid confusion whether cucumber should be classified as fruit or vegetable
• DLC2 Leftovers column-oriented solutions now allow gaps between columns
• Corrected the “Levels” solution in DLC2 Leftovers to enforce order of least-to-most contents (or vice-versa) across the crosswise axis, as intended by design
• “Keeping Count” and “Top Heavy Slice” achievements are now achievable if the level was Reset
• Removed position of Toy Music Box handle from solution criteria for the DLC2 Music Box puzzle as it was too obscure
• Reduced the number of allowable slide positions for the Slide Whistle in DLC2 Music Box
• Alignment has been made more forgiving for the “Labels” solution in DLC2 Ink Bottles level
• DLC2 Markers “Colour” solution now accepts green markers to be swapped to accommodate order by scientific value in addition to perceptive hue
• Improved compatibility of Quick Select functions in DLC2 Markers level
• “Jigsaw” solution in DLC2 Water Glasses now accepts Ice Cubes in any configuration regardless of if they’ve been rotated to achieve fit
• Ice Cubes in DLC2 Water Glasses will no longer become stuck on each other
• No longer possible to solve the DLC2 Transforming Junk Drawer with both the Ticket Stubs and Telescope in the right-most compartment
• Ticket Stubs and Envelopes now stack with offset in DLC2 Transforming Junk Drawer
• Credits scroll will no longer freeze if the app was unfocused for the duration of the credits song
• Solving second solution for Daily Tidy Pencils in forward and reverse orders no longer counts as separate solutions
• Objects in the Pasta and Pretzels levels will no longer exhibit tilt if they have been picked up and dropped without moving
• Telescope Daily Tidy no longer render an unplaceable Star in some rare permutations

v3.1.4
• Boxes will no longer become non-interactive if sitting loose within the Main Box, and 2 nested boxes are placed in their solution position overtop the loose box
• Quick Select point will no longer become misaligned on the Rug in the 1st phase of the Wet Paw Prints level
• DLC2 Music Box level will no longer abruptly solve while interacting with Slide Whistle if position of slide is last element to be placed
• DLC2 Music Box level will no longer solve if the Comb is in extended state
• Extended Comb will no longer appear behind Tuning Forks when placed in DLC2 Music Box
• Removed collisions from Slide Whistle slide in DLC2 Music Box
• Slide Whistle slide visual will no longer separate (or briefly disappear) from body visual if object is moved while slide is easing into position in the DLC2 Music Box level
• Improved stability in DLC1 Lunch Tray level. Objects within trays no longer exhibit collisions with loose objects outside of tray
• Hint for “Weapons” solution has been corrected in Merry Mess Nutcrackers level
• Hint for “Knees” solution has been updated to feature a highlight in Merry Mess Nutcrackers level
• Celery now snap into placement in DLC1 Lunch Tray level
