Sports Story headlines Nintendo Indie World offering

Nintendo shared its most recent Indie World Showcase just yesterday (November 9), and with it came an incredibly varied line-up of simultaneously interesting and adorable games. All of which will be arriving on the Nintendo Switch console during 2022 and 2023.

We’re frankly spoilt for choice when it comes to upcoming indies to pick from. There’s roguelikes, adventures, puzzles, narrative games, and so much distinct art to check out. So, without further ado, here’s every game shown off at Nintendo Indie World.

The star of the show arguably had to be Sports Story, which is a sporting RPG that follows on from the 2017 title, Golf Story. Now, you can continue as you were and focus on being a golfing pro, or you can try your hand at football, tennis, cricket, BMX, and plenty more. In addition, Sports Story isn’t solely about your athletic skill; you’ll also be exploring ruins and dungeons, heading to the mall, and taking part in mini-games while getting to know a wide array of characters.

A Little To The Left review: everything in its right place

I love tidying up in games, and I’m not just talking about playing Unpacking and House Flipper, either. Any game I play with an inventory gets a regular, satisfying purge. I’m either marching to an in-game shopkeeper and holding my adventuring sack upside down, or just swiftly frisbeeing items straight into the bin. If it’s cluttering my screen, it’s cluttering my mind. Zero regrets. That’s the gamer dopamine hit I’m chasing.

So, as you might have guessed, I love the idea of A Little To The Left, a game that celebrates neatness and tidiness through a string of fun puzzles. If you love the satisfaction of arranging books on your shelf in order of height, or displaying your mugs in order of which can hold the most tea, then you’ll love this game too. Some simple tidying puzzles would have been enough for me, but A Little To The Left takes the idea in interesting directions through smart puzzle design.

Introducing Let It Be

Hello folks, we’re almost at the finish line. We can’t believe that A Little to the Left will be in your hands on PC and Mac in less than a month. November 8th, to be exact.

Throughout the game’s development, we’ve continually listened to feedback based on your experience of playing the demo. One of the things some players felt the game needed was the ability to come back to an incomplete puzzle. We know that sometimes sorting a stack of books or tidying the tool rack in your shed can be a bit daunting and so we wanted you say “It’s OK, I’ll come back to that later”. To solve that problem, we’ve added a new feature we’ve called Let It Be. It’s simple: if you’re struggling with a puzzle, you can just Let It Be and move on to the next, allowing you to return to it later.

We’ve shared more information about Let It Be and our thought process behind it over at Rock Paper Shotgun. You can read the full feature and interview here: https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/lovely-tidying-game-a-little-to-the-left-has-added-a-skip-puzzle-feature-because-of-an-article-we-done

We hope you like Let It Be, and we can’t wait for you to play A Little to the Left in November.
