Some fixes and balancing changes:
- Fixed cannot change to 4th active hotbar when first purchasing the Shoulder Bag.
- Balancing/QOL for fertilisers: Using better quality materials will yield more fertiliser through the Composter.
- [Controller] Fixed a bug where player cannot interact with the Map Activity during the Violet Archive Hangout with Eira.

Some fixes and minor changes:
- Fixed a bug that causes the Hamnmer/Fishing Rod to stop working sometimes. Caused by removing held item from the inventory menu.
- Fixed Lettice and Dancer's Heel scroll submission location in the shelves.
- Fixed a visual bug where Eira may be seen in a chair while talking to her outdoors.
- The Striated Rock item can now be placed on tables.
- Updated Pupu's Shimmer sprite for more contrast.
- [Controller] Improved speeding up text during dialogue using B button.
- [Controller] Changed Skip Cutscenes to X button.

A few more hotfixes! Thank you very much for your reports and patience! - Fixed a crash that happens when clicking on the ice cream maker during the Ice Cream Festival.
- Fixed a crash that at the start of Teagan's Orange Heart Event cutscene.
- Fixed animal spawning out of bounds in the Woods.

Hello! Just a few hotfixes for the more pressing bug reports from the recent release.
- Fixed a font texture bug for smaller screen resolutions, causing the Journal to display wrongly.
- Fixed a bug where Greydohr talks about Shimmers when asked about House Upgrade.
- Adjusted chance for 'current event' dialogues to trigger.
- Fixed a bug where the options for Greydohr's Shop after House Upgrade 2 triggers incorrect response.
- Fixed repeatedly getting Vallee's 'Practice Tunes' Mail.

[h2]✨Towards 1.0 update and release[/h2]
In preparation for our full release, I'll be working on the late-game content for Research Story over the next few months. I also plan to push out smaller updates (bugfixes, minor QOL and content) whenever possible.

This is what the 1.0 update will add:
- Red Heart Events
- Marriage system
- Legendary Research
- Continuation (and completion) of our Main Story Quest.

[h2]✨About the Research Story Demo[/h2]
Our current v0.2.7.2 demo gives a good sense of what the game is like, but it's quite outdated (3 years old, in fact!).

A big downside is the lack of controller support. I've heard from several players about being unable to try the demo due to that. I'm working on a newer demo version currently, which will include controller support and be closer to the Early Access version.

Still need a bit more time to get it to run smoothly, but I will update it as soon as I can.

Finally, it's the holiday season and I'm wishing all of you happy holidays!! I'm very grateful for all the support we've had this year - from the fanart, to community discussions and Steam reviews. Knowing that there are players who love the game really keeps me going!
Looking back on this year, lots have been added to the game. We started the year by adding Steam Achievements, and celebrated our 1st year anniversary (since launch) that added paths, Iron Chests, and other QOL changes; we had a crossover with Pupu's Adventure Park; we added Farm Buildings, Year 2 creatures, a new townsfolk (Layla), Casual Hangouts, Cooking, more customisation, and lots of other content!

2024 has been a great year for Research Story, and I'm so excited for what the next year would bring!
