How to get Calcium Ore in StarRupture

It won't be long until you've learned the ins and outs of Wolfram and Titanium in StarRupture, rapidly improving upon the automated miners you'll have set up during the tutorial. Soon enough, though, you'll need truckloads of Calcium, and you won't have any pointers as to where to look...

If you wish Satisfactory were an FPS, try new open world game StarRupture, out now in early access

As the Bob Dylan song goes, how many lush alien planets must a Man presumptuously land on and turn into poorly optimised Toyota plants before he finally decides he’s sick of being an extractivist piece of shit? Dylan was being rhetorical, but I studied at the school of Homer Simpson, and want you to give me an actual figure. I’m going to say: four and a half. If you’ve yet to hit your personal quota, well, here’s StarRupture out now in early access.

Best ways to get food in StarRupture

Despite a great factory-building tutorial, you're oddly not introduced to StarRupture's survival mechanics like hunger and hydration. It doesn't help that you're stuck on an alien planet, surrounded by weird, unappetising plants that you probably shouldn't consume without thorough research. But when the hunger kicks in, you'll need to scrounge up some food somehow...

Best ways to get water in StarRupture

StarRupture might look a lot like the automation simulation Satisfactory on the surface, but it's also part survival game, and with that comes water and hunger management to avoid an untimely death. The odd thing is, the tutorial doesn't give you any introduction to the survival mechanics, and you'll soon find yourself shrivelling up...

Known issues in the StarRupture's Early Access Launch build
If you’d like to provide us with feedback, check troubleshooting guides, or report a bug, please visit our Support Page.

Main known issues
• Movement Lock (Controls): Changing movement keybindings to arrow keys or AZERTY layout completely prevents the player from moving.
• Cave Issues:
• Reloading the game after a Fire Wave may permanently block access to caves.
• Players can become trapped in a cave if they destroy the heart before the vines are fully grown.
• Data Loss on Base Deconstruction: If a Client deconstructs the whole base via the Base Core option and then leaves the session, the chest containing the recovered items does not appear for the remaining Players.
• Falling through terrain: Clients may load under the terrain (and keep falling indefinitely) if they were located far away from the Host when the game was being saved.
• Recipe Block: The recipe for Standard Ammo may not unlock correctly at the Corporate Terminal, blocking combat progression.
Gameplay & Mechanics
• Inventory & Items:
• Rapidly transferring items or splitting item stacks may cause synchronization errors (items get stuck, slots appear empty, etc.).
• Blueprints may not visually appear in the Recipe Table after being added.
• The Client may be unable to insert the Heat Resistant Sheet blueprint into the Recipe Station.
• Combat & Tools:
• The "Hold E to Respawn" button must be used twice to work upon the first death.
• Grenades cannot be thrown after swapping Fire and ADS keybindings.
• Cooling functionality may be suspended when targeting a Harvester and an overheated building at the same time. Resolution: Re-equip the tool to restore function.
• Enemies may move or jump inside rock geometry.
• Building & Environment:
• Habitat modules and interior buildings can be built in the same spot (overlapping structures).
• Multiplatforms cannot be placed on water; snapping issues occur.
• Quartz disappears from caves if buildings are constructed nearby.
• Airlocks may require interacting twice.
• Fire Waves may damage players inside Habitats (especially those with Viewports).
Multiplayer & Network
• World Synchronization:
• Glowcaps: Plants may fail to spawn or be uncollectible for the Client after the Host reloads the session.
• Clients may not see effect overlays (infection, radiation, corrosion) depending on the order they joined the session.
• Players can see and loot their own character body after disconnecting from a Dedicated Server.
• Drones: Personal Drones may be invisible or take a long time to reach the Client.
• Connection Issues:
• Clients may be kicked from a dedicated server if multiple players join at the same time.
• An endless "Connect to server" notification may occur when managing an active session.
• Infinite loading may occur when joining a 2-player Listen Server session.
UI & Menu
• Icons & HUD:
• Grenade and Med Tool icons are displayed as "locked" on the HUD even after being unlocked.
• Some icons may not appear on the map.
• Some of the items may be missing tooltips in the Item Printer in the Forgotten Engine biome.
• HUD warning that Audiologs cannot be started during active dialogue may be missing.
• Menu & Settings:
• Changed keybinds are not displayed correctly on the HUD.
• Save files may remain visible in the Load Menu even after the session’s folder has been deleted.
Visuals, Animation & Audio
• Visual Glitches:
• Infection Cloud: Reappears in cleared Abandoned Bases after loading a save.
• Deconstruction Delay: Clients may experience a visible delay when using the Deconstruct Tool.
• Ghost platforms may flicker on Nvidia GPUs.
• Working buildings may lack animations for Clients in large bases.
• Antenna events may look as being still active even after completion, when the player returns to the antenna.
• Character Animation: The character model may behave incorrectly if it was killed while changing tools or when holstering a weapon.
• Audio:
• The "Pick All" sound from the Base Core chest may be excessively loud.
• Some actions may lack sound effects.
Performance
• Performance may drop when deconstructing buildings in very large bases.
• The electricity counter in large bases may update with delays.
• Player-built buildings may become invisible after using the Teleporter multiple times.
• Lower stability may occur on Dedicated Servers with 4 players in large bases.
