A new patch for Chapter 2 is live!



Hey Warlocks!

We’ve got a new patch for Chapter 2 of Project Warlock II for you today. The update focuses on fixing bugs related to the jumping (both for player character and monsters), localization, audio and more!

[h3]Full changelog:[/h3]

  • Fixed an issue where monsters would freeze on jumping
  • Fixed a bug where jumping speed would be affected by look rotation
  • Fixed audio bug when monsters are damaged by poison
  • Fixed an issue where monsters would teleport on poison cloud
  • Fixed projectile particles sometimes not appearing
  • Fixed various localization issues
  • Improved combat and ambient music fade-in/fade-out
  • Fixed monster sound issue on game pause

A new patch for Chapter 2 just arrived!

Hey Warlocks!

We’ve just released the second patch for Chapter 2 of Project Warlock II. Our team is continuously collecting your feedback and working on new fixes for the game.

[h3]PATCH NOTES:[/h3]

Improvements
  • Improved Crystal Sentry monster detection
  • Improved Player collision with Monsters
  • Improved inertia feeling of the player movement
Bug Fixes
  • Fixed an issue where monsters would glide around
  • Fixed monsters dodging through pillars, walls and obstacles.
  • Fixed "item fountain" problem with high combo values
  • Fixed Tutorial screen missing graphics in Episode 1
  • Fixed Bloom setting not working correctly
  • Fixed an issue when game might softlock after being killed when Armored Spike perk was equipped in Episode 2
Misc
  • Removed edge-detection effect
  • Removed an out-of-date Color Shader setting which did not work

First Patch for Chapter 2 is here!

Hey Warlocks!

A new patch for Project Warlock II is here to address issues encountered after the release of Chapter 2. What’s more, the update introduces numerous fixes and adjustments based on community feedback.


[h3]PATCH NOTES:[/h3]

Reworked monster collision:
  • Improved Monsters collisions with the environment
  • Improved Monsters collisions with the player
  • Improved Monsters dodge mechanics
  • Improved Monsters landing animation
Reworked monster aim:
  • Monsters now shoot in the direction they look at
Combo items:
  • Combo items (excluding cooldown tokens) now disappear after 10 seconds from spawning
  • Additionally combo items blink 3 seconds before disappearing
Other fixes and adjustments:
  • Added "Disable Autosaves" option to preferences
  • Poisoned and Bleeding Monsters count towards combo
  • Crystal sentry kills count towards combo
  • Adjusted monster physics
  • Increased Palmer's HUD size
  • Fixed cacobot's aim and animation sprites
  • Fixed utility binding on HUD display for Urd and Palmer
  • Fixed floating boxes in e1m4

Chapter 2 releases November 21 2023!



Hey Warlocks!

Today, we are thrilled to reveal that after months of hard work and weeks of laborious playtesting and squashing bugs we can confirm Chapter 2 is releasing next week, on November 21 2023, for the owners of the Steam Early Access version of Project Warlock II!

During the last few weeks, we’ve released Chapter 2 demo and organized two sessions of community playtests. Your detailed feedback and commitment when testing various aspects of the game helped us implement many changes to the core elements of the new chapter. This is just one of the steps in developing Project Warlock II further in Early Access so more feedback and opinions are always welcome. Similarly to Chapter 1 feedback we will continue polishing and improving the game until we’re satisfied with the result.

[h3]CHAPTER 2 - CONTENT[/h3]

Here’s a closer look at the full list of features coming to Project Warlock II next Tuesday!

New playable Character:
  • Urd - a powerful magician fueled by her rage
  • quick and powerful fighter but more susceptible to enemy attacks
  • controls magic drawn from Krystallos, mysterious and powerful crystal
  • wields magic infused firearms
  • transfers her arcane powers into magic spells and abilities


New weapons:
  • Dagger suitable for both melee and projectile attacks
  • Crystal-powered SMG
  • Pump Action Shotgun, with an alternate fire mode
  • Scoped Pistol
  • Spell Book with five potent spells: fire, frost, poison, crystal, arcane


Wargression - new character progression system:
  • 96 upgrades divided into 13 different categories (Dagger, Pistol, Shotgun, SMG, Spellbook, Poison Grenade, Dagger Storm, Crystal Sentry, Defense, Attack, Poison, Luck, Magic)
