Last week, we teamed up with Whale & Dolphin Conservation (WDC) and an incredible group of fellow game developers at Develop:Brighton for an Urban Beach Clean!

Together, we collected 8kg of trash that was heading into the sea. Check out the infographic below on what was recovered from the beach.

Even small items such as a discarded cigarette butt or a bit of plastic can cause immense harm to our beloved ocean creatures, so please take your litter off the beach, and dispose of it correctly.

Loddlenaut is an ocean cleanup adventure set on a vibrant alien planet. Play as an interstellar custodian who is tasked with cleaning up the pollution left behind by spacefaring mega-corporation. Calling all underwater ocean clean-up operatives; a new mission awaits at Flotsam Flats.

Operatives are encouraged to discover Flotsam Flats, an area teeming with shipwrecks and spilled cargo. Here players can discover new ways to clean up pollution, upgrade their equipment, craft new gear to help restore the area’s ecosystem, and find and communicate with some of the native loddles.

The Flotsam Flats demo also features gameplay and UI improvements based on YOUR amazing feedback, such as an alternate control scheme supporting bumpers for vertical movement.

The Flotsam Flats demo is available to download now. Loddlenaut will release this September.

Attention prospective ocean clean-up operatives!

We bring you important news from GUP-14. Tomorrow, Wednesday, May 10th (17:00 BST / 11:00 US Central), the Loddlenaut training demonstration “Ripple Reef” will be retired, and all current ocean-operative trainees will be given some much needed R&R.



We would like to thank all prospective ocean clean-up operatives that participated in this current round of training through their enjoyment and subsequent feedback of the Ripple Reef Demo. Rest assured your input and feedback has been invaluable to us and has directly resulted in changes and improvements to the game far beyond what we had even imagined. You are simply wonderful, and we thank you from the bottom of the deepest ocean.

We will have something more to share with you next month, so until then, rest easy operatives; you’ve earned it!
