Hotfix 1.0.0.4c

Good news we finally found the issue for the very rare occuring random crashes a few players are experiencing and reporting. In some very few cases this might even has led to lost progress, which we are deeply sorry about.

First off, if you have been selected by bad RNG and lost any progress, jump on our discord we will try our best to restore your progress.

If you are running in any further issues, please report them so that we can fix them as soon as possible. Thank for your support!

  • When entering the city you now always spawn near the portal

  • Fixed a rare occuring crash that could have happened everywhere throughout the game
  • Fixed a bug that caused Heleja to stop letting you unlocking new skills, eventhough you did not already have all unlocked
  • Fixed weapon stash swap not directly updating weapon attackspeed
  • Fixed RS Stick label in skilltree controller hints
  • Fixed bonelance weapon showing swing effect on character screen
  • Fixed evasion chance no triggering damage reduction (v.1.0.0.4c3)
  • Changed enemy shader initialisation to non multithreaded method to prevent crashes (v.1.0.0.4c4)

Update 1.0.0.4

Thanks for all your feedback and reports. We deeply appreciate your support in hunting down bugs and issues. We are doing our best to resolve all remaining crashes and issues as fast as possible.

With Update 1.0.0.4 we are fixing occuring crashes, further fix for evasion chance not been taken into account and some challenges not being triggered along some projectile shield fixes and further improvements.

If you get any furhter crashes please report them via https://www.strivingforlight.com/bugreport/ or discord and attach your save files. This helps us to reproduce the crash and fix the issue as soon as possible.

  • Projectile shield improvements: Projectile shield now features much longer projectile orbiting time and improved projectile orbits
  • Improved Controller Support: Added controller select button hint for closing the skilltree, also prevented controller cursor interaction with the node search field to prevent virutal keyboard issues

  • Fixed a crash when opening skilltree
  • Fixed rare crashes during general gameplay
  • Fixed rare crash when dying and having range companions (falcon, harpie companions) that shoot projectiles
  • Fixed a rare crash when dying and having melee attack replacer skills active
  • Fixed another potential cause for evasion chance not reducing incoming damage by 50%
  • Fixed corrupted weapon and item challenges with awakened gatekeepers not triggering
  • Fixed awakened gatekeeper achievements not triggering directly after awakened gatekeeper defeat
  • Time on completed rift UI is now properly displayed as well
  • Projectile range/speed skillnode now has increased spawn chances in the skilltree which properly scales depending on your amount of skill unlocks

Hotfix 1.0.0.3a

Hotfix 1.0.0.3a fixes evade chance to rarely not apply the 50% damage reduction and fixing a recursion on latest updates that will interfere with the dpad node jump for controller in the skilltree.

Bugfixes:
  • Fixed evasion chance rarely not applying the 50% damage reduction. I think this should be fixed now, but if you still get no damage reduction anytime while on 100% evasion chance, please report it so that I can digg deeper.
  • Fixed dpad node jump for controller in the skilltree stopped working for some controllers due to a recursion in one of the latest updates.

Update 1.0.0.3

With Update 1.0.0.3 we are continuing to adress lates bugreports and issues as well as improving range weapon scales, weapon effects and range aim indication.

[h3]Major Changes and Improvements[/h3]
  • Range Weapon sizes have been rescaled to make range weapon sizes look more consistent. Some range weapons ended up quite tiny compared to others.
  • Range Weapons now indicate the current aim angle instead of the previous angle offset to make it easier to see your aiming direction
  • Improved Weapon Effects for some range weapons
  • The descent expedition return portal now properly leads back to the map and not to the town ankerath to prevent getting locked out of your run.


[h3]Bugfixes[/h3]
  • Further improvements to the pathfinder initialisation and map spawn algorithm to fix rare cases where maps are missconnected
  • Fixed blocked gatekeeper progress when doing running a rift and then getting back to the gatekeeper arena
  • Fixed wrong challenge description for defeating stonesmasher with earthshaper weapon and earthwalker trinkets, this achievements requires 4 earthwarlker trinkets equipped.
  • Fixed coop players spawning in map objects and getting stuck when activating coop mode
  • Fixed phoenix shapeshifting form form burning feather trinket not taking your own projectile amount into account. You are now spawning additiona projectile instead of only the 6 phoenix projectiles.

Hotfix 1.0.0.2b

With Hotfix 1.0.0.2b we are finally fixing the rare occuring bug that leads to incomplete initialised pathfinder and crashes later on when selecting maps. We are also addressing some lost controller focus issues with the pathfinder and the difficulty tier UI.

  • Pathfinder initialisation is now more robust which should prevent incomplete spawned maps and issues later on selecting these maps.
  • Added additional event info that the 1.0 Release event takes part in the public season 1.


[h3]Bugfixes[/h3]
  • Fixed a crash when loading a map after incomplete initialised pathfinder on a fresh run
  • Fixed being able to change game difficulty tier with map node selected on controller. This has lead to lost focus needing to close and open up the pathfinder again.
  • Fixed lost focus on controller when selecting a map in pathfinder that can not yet be activated. The close button there now becomes initial focus.
  • Fixed a potential crash when using mouse and controller on the fly during gameplay due to a recursion of the latest skilltree controller improvements in 1.0.0.2a.
