Beta Version 1.0.5

Attention Ninjas of the Nth Dimension!
We’ve added some new features, but wanted to roll these out in a beta branch first for you to try.

In order to access the Beta branch in Steam you need to go to the properties for the game (right click on “Zool Redimensioned” in your Steam library and select properties). In the popup that appears, select Betas and then enter the password where it asks for the beta access code.
Password: cosmosdweller
Click on "Check Code" and then select the new “betafeatures” branch from the dropdown menu in the same window. If nothing new appears in the dropdown menu then check the code and try restarting Steam. Zool Redimensioned should now have a [Beta Features] option in brackets after the name.

Please note that the Beta Features version may contain new bugs as well as new features and you can easily switch back to the main branch through the same dropdown menu. Please let us know of any bugs you find in the Beta in this thread.

v 1.0.5
 • Various minor unreported bug fixes
 • The level select screen now correctly reports when zero death badges have been awarded
 • The game now runs on some older DirectX10 graphics cards (previously asserted on loading)
 • There are now three camera zoom option in the Display settings: 640x360 (Redimensioned), 512x288 and 426x240 (A widescreen version of the original Zool resolution). Ultimate Ninja mode now defaults to 1992 Wide, but can be changed in either mode, apart from in boss battles, tutorials and cut-scenes which zoom out automatically
 • The “par” and “developer” times to beat are now shown in the results screen

Ancient action platformer returns in Zool Redimensioned, out now

I'm squinting, but I don't see a single Chupa Chup anywhere in the trailers or screenshots for Zool Redimensioned. Playing the original platformer back on the Amiga was the first time I encountered product placement in a videogame, but it seems Zool's love for a particular brand of lollipops has been lost amid the switch to modern resolutions.

You can find a trailer below for the remaster, which is out now.

Accessibility & Quality Of Life Options
Zool Redimensioned has many new accessibility and quality of life improvements added:
• Redimensioned mode has a double jump which makes platforming and combat encounters much more accessible for gamers of all skill levels
 • Redimensioned mode doesn't require you to collect anything in the level to complete it allowing for much faster playthoughs and you can’t get stuck at the end if you didn’t collect enough collectibles
 • There are also Rewards for collecting over a certain number of collectibles in Redimensioned mode for those who want to hunt them down!
 • The levels have been substantially reworked/ redesigned to help them flow better, make secrets more fun to find and make it harder to get lost.
 • Certain in game graphics have been reworked to make things clearer to the player
 • Game overs now only send you back to the beginning of the level rather than the beginning of the whole game
 • The game features an assist mode with features like turbo mode firing and infinite double jumps making the game more accessible for anyone or just providing fun new ways to play the game (this does disable achievements though)
 • The game has fully remappable controls

 • Zool's jump is a lot more easily manageable when compared to the original
