Update 0.45.0

We are currently working on bringing the game to a release state - that mostly includes server, backend, bug fixes and polishing. This playtest we will also test bare metal servers in the EU and US.

Update 0.43.0

Tourney Mode (Alpha)
We’re thrilled to introduce Tourney Mode - a new system designed to simplify tournament hosting! While it’s still in its early stages, here’s what you can expect:
Easy Tournament Creation: Select from the Mini Royale gamemode with Solo, Duo, or Trio options.
Predefined Teams: Tournament organizers can set up teams in advance. The time where you had to create a party previously is over :)
Player-Friendly Interface: Players will automatically see if they’re in a tournament and can seamlessly join pending games.
Automated Tracking: Team scores, placements, and key stats are automatically tracked for you.
This is just the beginning - we have big plans for more features and customization options to make tournaments even better.

Server Performance
Over the last months we worked on a new system on how the game servers work. This means the current 30 Soldiers lobbies will run smoother and we have potential for far bigger lobbies now (will be important for future updates :) ).

Server Deployment
We’ve also made significant changes to our server setup. As a small team of three developers with no prior experience launching multiplayer games, we initially hosted everything on a single cloud provider. However, we’ve taken a big step forward now:
Enhanced Server Flexibility: Our server now runs on a more versatile system, allowing us to host it everywhere.
Cost Efficiency: This shift means cheaper, more independent servers to reliably support our player base.
Scalability: During surges of new players, we can still leverage the cloud to handle the load.
We are gonna test the new system this weekend - so if you experience any troubles let us know.

Fixed Spectating smoothness
Fixed Pick Up Tooltip location off for one frame
Fixed having the wrong viewmode sometimes (fp instead of tp etc)

Anti Cheat
New Easy Anti Cheat Version

Fixing 'Easy Anti-Cheat not installed'

Some players have problems with the automatic Easy Anti Cheat installation.

Here is how to fix that:
  • Go to your Steam Library
  • Right click Mini Royale [Demo]
  • Click Properties
  • Select Installed Files
  • Click Browse
  • Right click InstallAntiCheat.bat
  • Click Run as admin


This will manually install Easy Anti Cheat for Mini Royale. You can uninstall via UninstallAntiCheat.bat.

Note: Be careful when running random .bat files from untrusted sources. Feel free to look into the .bat file, it just executes 'EasyAntiCheat\EasyAntiCheat_EOS_Setup.exe install bec08df44a434459a5ae9b1254797d5b', where bec08df44a434459a5ae9b1254797d5b is the code for Mini Royale. You can also directly execute this command.

  • Fixed team voice chat only working when in a party previously
  • Added indicators for local microphone loudness when talking
  • Added indicators for remote players talking

Audio
  • Tweaked ranges for 3D spatialized audio. We are aware that some IEM seem to not represent our audio correctly. If you think your audio sounds wrong, feel free to let us know :)
