Patchnotes 0.58.7

[p]Hey Soldiers![/p][p]Quick heads-up on the latest update. We’ve mainly focused on reworking game sessions and Custom Games to pave the way for the Map Editor. We’re still hard at work on the map editor to make sure the release is as smooth as possible—we’re seriously hyped to see what you guys create with it.[/p][p]We’ve also upgraded the tournament system based on our recent tests. Rooms can now hold up to 300 players and will automatically split into fair brackets at the start. This is a huge step toward us running weekly or bi-weekly tournaments![/p][p]We also switched to Solo again.[/p][p][/p][p]In-Game Browser (Early Preview)[/p][p]We completely overhauled how servers talk to our backend for game session details[/p]
  • [p]You can now see all sessions (pending and running) in the browser[/p]
  • [p]No more long queues during quiet hours—hop straight into pending games[/p]
  • [p]Crashed servers won't keep showing up or timing out when you try to connect[/p]
  • [p]Custom games can now be password-protected[/p]
  • [p]Note: We’ll add filters and other bells and whistles once we’re sure the core browser is stable[/p]
[p]Misc & Fixes[/p]
  • [p]Some of you reported weird lag spikes in specific sessions. Thanks to your reports, we have better data and have added a server tool to help us squash this bug for good[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a race condition where achievements sometimes wouldn't update after a match[/p]

[p]Enhanced Tournament System[/p]
  • [p]We previously had support for tournaments where tournament hosts needed to enter all players via the playerId. Now there is a new system, where they can create a tournament room. All players can join this room to participate in the tournament. We are gonna do some test tournaments soon.[/p]
  • [p]Tournaments can now have rewards that are automatically granted when finished[/p]
  • [p]Added more settings to tournaments[/p]
  • [p]We can hand out selective access to create tournament rooms to eligible players[/p]
[p][/p][p]Other Changes[/p]
  • [p]We now periodically update player data, so if somethings changes while already ingame, you get notified without needing to restart the game like previously[/p]
  • [p]Snowman, Pumpkin Muncher and Mummy are now colorable[/p]
  • [p]Fixed issue with Audio Compression that lead to 99% of players sounding like a robot in proximity chat[/p]
  • [p]Fixed Ping endpoint inaccuracy when one ping fails[/p]
  • [p]Small server performance improvements[/p]
  • [p]Increased error tolerance for backend calls[/p]
  • [p]Adjusted AGC in proximity chat to help with different volumes[/p]
  • [p]Added a button in the ingame pause menu to report a server. This will do a tracert on your machine and will send to data to us. This will help us figure out why that server has an unexpected ping due to routing issues. [/p]
