Update 0.40.0

This update mostly contains bug fixes & improvements. We are mainly working on preparing the game for Early Access.

Friends
  • Fixed showing invalid friends from older cache, resulting in invalid invitations to parties


Spectating
  • Worked on improving the user experience when spectating other players
  • Fixed bug while switch spectate targets in smoke/zone
  • Fixed bug where you could not see items while spectating


Map
  • Fixed some map bugs, inaccurate collisions, bad objects etc
  • Updated the tutorial to reflect the current state of the game


Misc
  • Fixed inaccurate Zone damage
  • Fixed playing shield break sound on every hit sometimes
  • Fixed Italian Shotgun rechambering
  • Worked on Server Performance for high Player Session Counts
  • Enabled auto reload while aiming
  • Added cursor for controller players
  • Fixed Grapple on fast objects
  • Fixed the EGS build. If you are interested in testing that, feel free to contact us on discord.
  • Fixed stats & leaderboards ingestion for other gamemodes - eg we don’t show Color Conquest kills on the leaderboard anymore
  • Adjusted the xp for different gamemodes
  • Improved the ingame ping system
  • Decreased the time until the zone moves
  • Balanced weapons
  • Shortened Zeppelin tracks to make deploying quicker


Localization
  • Added missing keys
  • Fixed some spelling mistakes


Anti Cheat
  • New Themida version
  • New Easy Anti Cheat Version
  • Fixed some client validation not active

Steam Deck Compatibility Info

Hey Soldiers!

Below you find some info about Steam Deck Compatibility:

  • The game is playable on the deck. Make sure UNSELECT compatibility mode.


  • You can play the game with gamepad and use the touchscreen for inventory management (We will be working on that).

Mini Royale is a battle royale with toy soldiers and fun game modes - demo available now

If you're after a new shooter that will have Linux support, Mini Royale looks like it could end up being a good choice.

New Gamemode, Demo and Steam Next Fest

Hey Soldiers!

as some of you may already know, we will participate in the Steam Next Fest starting on 14th. This means that the new Demo build will be available on our Steam Page now and the official Servers will be open for at least 10 Days.
The Playtest build will not be available anymore.



The new Gamemode Color Conquest is a more casual mode. It is enabled now!

We will continue to update the Game prior to Next Fest so everything is smooth when it starts.

Patch notes:
New Gamemode
  • Color Conquest: It's a much more casual and free-flowing (Team-Deathmatch like) Gamemode, where 4 Teams with different colors will have to eliminate each other. By killing a player from another team, this player will be transferred to your team and will be redeployed from the corresponding Team Blimp.


Breaking Changes
  • Reworked how the sensitivity is displayed. We removed the internal multipliers for the different scope stats (reddot, 2x etc). That means the same setting from previous builds lead to different sensitivities!


Bots
  • Bots IQ has been improved by 9000. They can shoot, heal, follow the team and much more.


Weapon Balancing
  • Hipfire inaccuracy between Assault Rifles and Machine Pistols has been reworked. MP’s should be better for close range and AR’s for mid to long range
  • Fixed bug where you could shoot faster by swapping weapons


UI
  • New Gamemode UI
  • Also partly reworked Mini Royale ingame UI - this is still WIP
  • Performance
  • Improved rendering time for the entire map
  • Worked on the impact on performance when in heavy fight scenes or similar


Misc
  • Also added the new gamemode to the custom games creation. We will provide more options for that in the future!
  • Upgraded Epic Online Service version. This should include several stability fixes.
  • Fixed ingame Player Ticketing system
  • Fixed Font for some Languages
  • Fixed some Localizations
  • Fixed Proximity Chat, that is very important for the new Gamemode
  • Fixed issue where Microphone Setting List would not load
  • Fixed Leaning snapping issue
  • Fixed Ping attaching to wrong objects
  • Added progression for the Iron Toy challenge (will be enabled soon)
  • Added Season Quests (enabled now)
  • Fixed crash from Abilities


Twitch
  • Fixed show streamers
  • Added notify when you claimed a Twitch Drop


Anti Cheat
  • Upgraded to latest Anti Cheat Version
  • Fixed some edge cases for Cerberus
