Moonstone Island is like Stardew Valley with cozy creature-collecting

Moonstone Island has finally arrived, and it's definitely going to be one of my most-played simulation games. With wholesome creature-collecting mechanics and a witchy Stardew Valley-esque take on the farming genre, Studio Supersoft's new game offers countless hours of cozy fun. If you're anything like me, this may just be the colorful comfy indie game you've waited for. Moonstone Island sets the genre's bar high with its unique blend of building, creature collecting, farming, and sandbox elements.

We're Launching Tomorrow!

One day left, Alchemists!

OH MY FISHBO IT'S THE DAY BEFORE LAUNCH
IT'S LAUNCHMAS EVE

Do you have your wishlists ready to go? Picked your starter Spirit? Got your mood board for house decoration? ARE YOU PREPARED FOR MOONSTONE ISLAND????

(we're not)
(aaaaaaaaaaa)

As a reminder about our community:

Moonstone Island is a game that is built around the concepts of diversity and inclusion. Our LGBTQ+ characters are at the very heart of this game, and an irreplaceable part of what makes Moonstone Island the cozy, wholesome experience that it is, and this is reflected in both our LGBTQ+ team members and our LGBTQ+ fans (we love you!). We want to contribute to pushing the boundaries of representation in games, and we are proud of what we have created, and excited to have players meet our characters and hopefully see themselves represented in them, too!

We will not tolerate any of our community being shamed, harassed, and hurt by those who do not agree with our dedication to creating an inclusive space. Moonstone Island cannot be separated from its themes of inclusion and diversity, because that is what it is about – creating a place where kindness, acceptance, and love are the most important things in the world. We firmly believe that video games can be a powerful tool for good, and we will continue to listen to our community so that we can do even better in the future.

With this said, as a special Launchmas Eve treat, we're looking at one of the biggest mysteries in our latest trailer... this enigmatic, glitchy Spirit that we've never seen before:

Who is this Spirit? What is its name? What type is it? Can we capture it? And why is it so glitchy?!

All these questions and more will be answered... tomorrow!
(Well... maybe not tomorrow, because that would mean you finished the entire 40-50 hour game in less than a day. And you're not going to do that... are you? Is that even possible?!)

Get a good night's sleep, everyone, and we'll see you in the morning after Fishbo Claus has made his rounds!

Meet the Development Team!

The countdown begins, Alchemists!

We figured that it was time to introduce you to our team – the hard-working peeps who've been making all of this happen.

We're actually a really small team – just 3 core developers and a writer, plus a few artists who contribute their time when they can to make sprites, environments, and all kinds of gorgeous stuff that we get to put in the game.

That core team consists of:

Sandy is our lead developer! Moonstone Island is his baby, and he's in charge of designing the game, as well as wrangling all the art, design, story, characters, Spirits, and basically everything!

Stan is our programmer, who makes sure that Moonstone Island actually works. Like the choreographer of a ballet who works entirely behind the scenes, we couldn't have made Moonstone without Stan!

Cocefi is our lead artist! His stunning pixel art style set the tone for the way Moonstone Island looks today – it used to look VERY different. Now it's super pretty, largely thanks to Cocefi's beautiful work!

...and me, of course! I'm the writer and the Community Manager. I do all the words. Like this one. And this one! And theeeese.

If you want to know how to support our game and our teeny tiny team, just wishlist the game on Steam, buy it when it comes out, and you can even purchase our Collector's Edition DLC for a few extra bucks!

Thanks for all your support so far, too – we love you all very much.
