Dice & Pool Update

  • Lot of bugfixes (tricks, messages, weapons, editor, localization, etc)
  • Reworked daily hard challenge (Medium difficulty removed, and Random challenge added where every day there is a different random weapon with medium difficulty)
  • New weapon: Dice (which represent 100% randomness where beginners have the same chance to make a world record.
  • New weapon: Pool (hit the balls to make them active. Gravity is tricky here)
  • Balanced survive levels (fewer object for non-slicing weapons)
  • Fixed target explosion
  • Fixed star object in survival
  • Fixed self-hit tip-hitting, etc
  • Slow-mo can now be turned off globally in options menu if you want faster gameplay, or you just prefer constant time scale.
  • Automatically backup saves in the level editor
  • The story level ievel which you played for the last time is highlighted now.
  • Falling down camera in case of killing Bob fixed
  • Camera ground clipping fixed
  • Tutorials (and the techically same User Level descriptions) can now be reopened if you closed it before reading (pause menu, text bubble icon).
  • User profile World Record calculation (crown icons) are good now (quite a slow query, but it works.)

New weapon: Ring Knife

I saw a very interesting knife throwing trick in the social media nowadays. I decided to implement in the game, so now our 49th weapon is out, thw Ring Knife.
How to use: whenever you grab a knife a golden ring will fly out to the scene. It starts from the point where you click, so if your target is far away, just grab your knife in the right distance.
You knife is inactive innthe beginning. It becones active (able to stick ina target/apple) if the tip of the knife goes through the ring.
So just the as in this video. It's not easy but definietly alot of fun 🙂.

FULL RELEASE: THE END OF EARLY ACCESS
Hello guys! Our project, Knife To Meet You started as a knife throwing game 3 years ago. Now, I would call it as a 'blade simulator' as the original idea changed so much. Today, after a ton of works, difficulties and a huge pile of bugs, we finally and proudly say that the Early Acces phase ended, and the game is now released as a Full Release. There have been a lot of times when I thought it's gonna never happen. But now I'm very happy. This is the point I wanted to reach, the game is now open for user content, stable servers, enough content in every area (weapons, levels, achievements, comsetics, editor objects, online world record leaderboard for everything, even separate FirstTry records, and a lot of stats on user generated levels to make sure you will find what you are looking for).
The game has a lot of stuffs now. But why? All the question that I asked regarding any new ideas: will it add more fun? If yes, then I said let's do it. This is why the character can now throw his own head too, that's why you can call the train which destroys everything in his way, and thats why we created the level editor hyper-flexible. That's why we have weapons like 'Bees', 'Fake hand' or the head of your assistants Grandma which if you throw, her denture flies out of her head, continously biting. WHAT'S NEW?
Some player told me: 'why to make more weapons and levels? I can play on the first level with the first weapon for undefined time.' That's one of my favourite review and it has the message we have good basics. When I was adding new levels or weapons for the game I always felt that the only limit for this game is 'me'. The final release is about the level editor / sandbox mode which opens the game for you guys and your creativity: do whatever you want and share with other players. Create a 10 mile long 30 min journey where the character runs along, or create a one-knife challenge puzzle level. Go ahead and share it with the world! Here you can read about the new features:

We have added some extras like 40 achievements, different knives, hero skins, moustaches and noses.
We have a new winscreen where the King of the Level (the current world recorder) comes down and he is the one who gives you points. While it is happening after the game is already completed you can see an achievement which is titled "King Killer"... We have hidden 5 different colored snails on internal levels which you can try to find.

WHAT'S NEXT?
Yes the game still has a lot of bugs, but I think all the major issues are fixed. For a team of two, like our studio, it's impossible to fix 'everything'. Especially if we want to make the game flexible with a lot of physics interaction. That's the price and I hope you can deal with it. In other words I could say if we wanted to fix everything then the game would never be released. So now we will focus on fixes which I'm sure we will need.

I planned to write a much more detailed announcement, but I'm ultra tired. I will create a video about how the editor works and all the funny new features.

So I really hope that this game will bring you a lot of fun, because that's why it had been made!
