Introducing Player Requested Ships: RMS Queen Elizabeth and RMS Queen Mary

At Evil Twin Artworks, we've always believed that our community knows best. Your ideas and feedback have been invaluable in shaping Victory at Sea Atlantic, even before its launch into Early Access, and we're thrilled to announce a major development driven by your input.
Player requested Ships
You, our dedicated community, have shared your passion for naval history, and your requests have not fallen on deaf ears. As a token of our appreciation, we're excited to reveal that based on your suggestions, we've brought to life the first player requested models, two iconic ships that left an indelible mark on World War II: the RMS Queen Elizabeth and the RMS Queen Mary.
A Nautical Icon: RMS Queen Elizabeth
The RMS Queen Elizabeth, renowned as a luxurious ocean liner, had a vital role during World War II. She was transformed into a troopship, shuttling thousands of soldiers across the Atlantic. Her size, speed, and the protection she provided made her an invaluable asset during the war.
RMS Queen Mary: The Grey Ghost
The RMS Queen Mary, often referred to as the "Grey Ghost," was another marvel of maritime engineering. She served as a troopship and transport vessel, carrying troops, dignitaries, and even prisoners of war. Her speed and evasive manoeuvres earned her the nickname, and she played an essential role in the conflict.
Our Commitment to Community Collaboration
This is just one example of how we're committed to working closely with our community. More ships are inbound and we are taking onboard your ideas! Dive into the Depths of Submarine Hunting in Victory At Sea Atlantic

Set sail with us as we unveil a game-changing feature in Victory At Sea Atlantic: an overhauled submarine hunting mechanic. As we navigate the treacherous waters of the Atlantic during World War II, the lurking threat of enemy submarines becomes more palpable than ever.

We wanted to create tension in combat, not just a simple 'Click here to attack' mechanic.

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]

Our commitment to realism and player engagement has driven us to enhance combat mechanics further. We're a small team, and community input has always been invaluable. We listen to what's right, what's wrong, and what players envision. Of course when it comes out in Early Access, any feedback on improvements is always welcome!

In Victory At Sea Atlantic, the addition of various weather conditions has brought forth a more dynamic and immersive gameplay experience. Submarines, while submerged or in adverse weather, can now be detected through sonar and radar once researched, No longer can you simply manoeuvre to a submarine's last known location and attack.

It's advantageous to reduce speed, as louder engines and adverse weather can significantly impact submarine hunting. Additionally, you can now set depth charges to different depths. Submarines won't be sitting ducks; they'll be manoeuvring and attempting to position themselves for the attack.

Community Collaboration Shapes Victory At Sea Atlantic

At Evil Twin Artworks, we treasure our community's input, and Victory At Sea Atlantic is no exception. We invite players to actively participate in shaping the core mechanics of the game. Your feedback on the current system and ideas for enhancing the overall experience are highly valued.

Weathering the Storm: The Dynamic Weather System of Victory At Sea Atlantic

As we set sail toward the highly-anticipated release of Victory At Sea Atlantic, we're excited to dive into one of the game's most immersive and dynamic features: the weather system. Here we'll explore how weather impacts naval warfare in the Atlantic theatre during World War II and how it adds a new level of realism and strategy to our upcoming game.
The Power of the Elements
The Atlantic Ocean during World War II was notorious for its unpredictable and often harsh weather conditions. As you take command of your fleets in Victory At Sea Atlantic, you'll quickly discover that the elements are not just a backdrop but a formidable force to be reckoned with.
Dynamic Weather Patterns
Our team at Evil Twin Artworks has worked tirelessly to create a dynamic weather system that mirrors the unpredictable nature of the Atlantic. In the game, weather patterns evolve in real-time, affecting visibility, ship handling, and combat tactics.
Huge Waves and Water Splashes
Picture this: You're about to enter a battle, and you have notifications of a fierce storm rolling in. Massive waves crash against your ships, causing them to pitch and roll dramatically. Water splashes from these waves interact dynamically with the vessels, creating an incredibly immersive experience. You can practically feel the salty spray on your face as you navigate through the tempest.
Night Battles with a Fiery Twist
Night battles take on a whole new level of intensity. Ships on fire at night emit a fiery glow that not only looks stunning but also affects visibility. You'll find yourself making split-second decisions as you try to spot enemy ships through the darkness and smoke.
Depth Charges and Plumes of Water
Submarine warfare becomes even more thrilling with depth charges. As they detonate, they send huge plumes of water spray into the air, obscuring vision and adding an element of danger to underwater combat.

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]
Environmental Challenges
It's not just the enemy you need to worry about. The weather itself becomes an adversary as you navigate through heavy rain, dense fog, and treacherous storms. Visibility can change from combat to combat, making surprise attacks and ambushes a constant threat.
Strategic Adaptation
Adapting to these weather conditions becomes essential for success. Do you risk a night engagement with reduced visibility, hoping to use the cover of darkness to your advantage? Or do you wait for better weather, even if it means your enemy might slip away? Enemy subs are harder to detect using sonar in adverse weather conditions; they might be right under you and you wouldn’t know it, will you withdraw to safety?
Community Involvement
At Evil Twin Artworks, we've always valued our community's input, and the weather system in Victory At Sea Atlantic is no exception. Your feedback has played a crucial role in shaping this feature, and we can't wait to see how you tackle the challenges posed by the elements.
