Patch #1.1.88

Greetings Adventurers,


We hope this update finds you well! We’ve resolved a handful of softlocks that were causing issues for multiplayer and local games. We also fixed the online issue that was causing the Pass UI to bounce during Dungeon Traps. This update also cleans up a few UI issues that had crept in. Thanks again for everyone reaching out!

[h2]Softlocks[/h2]
  • Fixed a softlock that was occurring when defeating the Kraken in adventures that had been started with less than 4 adventurers.
  • Fixed a softlock during the Kraken fight that would occur when one of the players was being held by a tentacle and the last free combat tile was filled with a summon and the released player had no tile to return to.
  • Fixed a softlock that could occur when proccing a follower in a dungeon.
  • Fixed a softlock that could happen if the Farmer proc’d Eager and Last Straw at the start of combat.
  • Fixed a softlock that could occur if the ESC key was used during a refund focus event.

[h2]Online[/h2]
  • Improved error messaging when trying to join a full lobby.
  • Fixed the issue in trap phase where the Pass option couldn’t be selected and the UI would “bounce”. We also fixed the occurrences for softlocks that could sometimes happen in the next room after the Pass UI bounce.

[h2]Combat[/h2]
  • Fixed the issue with the Boner appearing in Kraken battles, and that pesky Kraken trying to break out of the sea into other combats.

[h2]UX/UI[/h2]
  • Fixed the issue where the Sheeps Taunt VFX weren’t being removed upon the Sheep’s death.
  • Fixed the issue where proccing Herd in dungeon rest phase could result in riding the sheep.
  • Cleaned up the combat encounter cam for Jellies.
  • Improved the Shift More Info behaviour during loot phase.
  • Improved the Goblin Merchant market flow where players couldn’t navigate players from right to left.
  • Added back the Thorn Damage modifier icon.

Hotfix #1.1.85

Greetings Adventurers,

We have a hotfix for the softlock that happens when encountering a locked chest and the party has no lockpicks. We also have a fix for the subsequent softlock that happened when continuing a game that had encountered the lockpick softlock. From our testing, including save game files from various community reports, it appears that any save game that had the issue should be able to be continued without any issues.

  • Fixed the softlock caused by encountering a locked chest and the party not having any lockpicks.
  • Fixed the subsequent softlock caused by continuing a save game that encountered the lockpick softlock.
  • Fixed an issue where being Protected was not preventing status effects from non-damage attacks.
  • Fixed Evade Down not removing the 5% back row evasion boost on enemies/players that were afflicted with Evade Down.

We have a Hotfix landing today that features some key fixes for the latest release, check out the notes below and reach out to us as always via Steam Forums or Discord to let us know if you run into any issues!

  • Fixed issue with Ready Button becoming unresponsive when Customize Menu is open
  • Fixed issue with Randomizing character causing softlock when spammed
  • Fixed issue with missing meshes on Lucky Suit

Greetings Adventurers,


This update focuses on tackling key bugs that we’ve identified to be causing a high number of
reports and impacting overall gameplay stability. In addition to these higher volume issues,
we’ve also fixed a handful of smaller issues, such as missing VFX, followers no longer being
healed with Party Heal, and final bosses dropping loot rather than only Lore.

We’re also excited to add two new seasonal cosmetics to the Lore Store for Easter and April
Fool’s Day. Starting today the Bunny Ears and the fan-favourite, Merling Skin, are available in
the Lore Store for free. Alongside the seasonal additions, cosmetic skins now have the option to
change their colour tone. Go forth my Purple Gobbo!

[h2]Softlock Fixes[/h2]
  • Fixed an issue where Bosses could softlock during their phase transition. This was most
  • frequently reported for the Bandit King fight, but could happen during any boss fight if
  • their idle animation lined up with their phase transition.
  • Fixed an issue where the game would softlock or desync during a combat revive.
  • Fixed a softlock/desync that could occur when fleeing from combat after canceling out of
  • the bomb action menu.
  • Fixed a softlock/desync that could occur during focus use on flee from combat.
  • Fixed a softlock/desync that was occurring in combat when consuming Focus and using
  • spacebar to commit the attack.
  • Fixed a softlock that could occur when being ambushed while sailing the ocean.
  • Fixed a softlock/desync that could occur in certain situations when giving inventory items
  • to another player.
  • Fixed a softlock/desync that could occur when rapidly clicking while using a scroll.
  • Fixed a softlock during the Kraken fight if the last player was revived by a Sanctum.
  • Fixed a softlock that could occur when sailing into certain towns and having additional
  • boat deeds in the player inventory.


[h2]Combat[/h2]
  • Fixed the issue that was preventing player boats from taking damage during the Kraken
  • fight.
  • Fixed the visual FX for the Scarecrow’s Decoy ability and the death FX for the Healing
  • Sheep and the Kraken.
  • Fixed the issue that was causing each act’s final boss to hand out loot rather than only
  • Lore Points.


[h2]UX/UI[/h2]
  • Added a visual cue for Focus Refund.
  • General improvements to the Focus Refund flow.
  • Fixed the issue where the right stat wasn’t always being displayed during dungeon trap
  • encounters.
  • Fixed various UI “flashes” when traversing through dungeon rooms.
  • Fixed a visual issue where a follower would stay on the enemy hex after fleeing from
  • combat.


Lastly, and for some, most importantly...

[h2]Lore Store[/h2]
  • Added colour tinting to the Skelly, Goblin and Merling cosmetics.

This patch addresses a variety of issues that players have been seeing in online games and addresses a handful of softlocks that are in both single and multiplayer. This update also includes the seasonal cosmetic for St. Patrick’s Day, the Lucky Suit!

We also revised how we will be releasing seasonal cosmetics based off of community feedback. During seasonal events the specific content will be a free purchase from the Lore Store. When cosmetics are “off season” they can still be purchased for a set Lore amount. This will allow anyone to be able to get the cosmetics no matter the year.


[h2]Online Fixes[/h2]
  • Fixed an issue where using bombs online could lead to a softlock.
  • Fixed an online desync that could occur when loading into Overworld.
  • Fixed an online desync that could occur when double-clicking for movement.
  • Fixed an online desync that could occur on certain focus usage in combat.
  • Fixed an online desync when using a vision scroll and revealing POIs.
  • Fixed an online desync that could occur when loading continuing a game in a dungeon.


[h2]Combat[/h2]
  • Fixed the softlock caused by Shattered Mirror summoning a clone of a player that has the Eager trait equipped.
  • Fixed the softlock caused by Bandit King summoning minions (and other bosses).
  • Updated certain ability schedules to prevent instances where fights get in annoying stun lock situations. (We’re looking at you, spiders!)
  • Fixed the issue where Guard was not being applied on subsequent waves in Siege battles.
  • Fixed the issue where Bosses could flee from combat.
  • Fixed the Kraken from showing up in random fights for some players.
  • Fixed an issue where certain enemies wouldn’t play their correct death animation when dying from Thorn or Reflect damage.
  • Fixed Daze so that it correctly affects abilities when players are Dazed (ie. Taunt, Equip).


[h2]Dungeons[/h2]
  • Fixed an issue where reviving a player after a trap death the character model wouldn’t appear until the next combat.


[h2]Overworld[/h2]
  • Fixed the softlock that was occurring when randomly entering towns.


[h2]UX/UI[/h2]
  • Updated the companion HUD windows to better show their abilities.
  • Fixed an issue with certain tooltips overlapping when playing in Korean.
  • Fixed an issue where the Kraken’s HP wouldn’t update on a kill blow.


All players will need to have updated to the latest build to play together in Multiplayer.
