Hey there, exofarmers! We know we’ve been a bit quiet recently, but that’s because we’re enjoying a bit of a breather before we get the rig rolling again. Don’t worry, though, we’ll have our first real post-showcase update for you all soon!

In the meantime, we’re also going to be taking our own long-distance journey as we make a stop at events around the world! Where are we going, you might ask? Well, read on and find out!

Hi there, exofarmers! We’ve had our heads down for a little while, but it was for a great reason: We’re so excited to share with you that Lightyear Frontier is coming out on Xbox Series S/X, PC, and Game Pass in Spring 2023! We were elated to be part of the excellent series of games shown off by the Xbox and Bethesda Showcase, and over time, we'll be sharing more updates and news as we progress towards release!

We've also begun rolling out our brand-new website! Check out beautiful photos, follow along with news updates, and more. To add onto this, we've refreshed our Steam store page! Check it out and get a closer look at all the excellent features coming to the game.

Additionally, we'll be moving our full-length updates to the website's blog! We'll continue posting update summaries here as well, but for more details, go visit our "News" tab on our website!

Hey again! We’ve got a LOT we’re preparing for (and will show in good time), but we thought we’d check in with everyone in the meantime. This time around, though, we want to give you all your first chance at forming more of the community that you want to see around Lightyear Frontier! Everyone’s making the first steps on a new planet together, and that includes honoring that journey.

[h3]I Do Declare[/h3]



First things first, we were thinking about it, and while farming is part of what you do, there’s SO much more to it. I mean, heck, you’re on a new and alien world, right? That sounds like more than just farming to us. You’ll be traveling a long way to get to the Frontier, and that takes grit. With that in mind, it’s only fitting that we give you a new title: Exofarmer! Going farther than any other human to plant a new crop deserves special recognition. Every early morning you work on your harvest is a new opportunity to earn that title!

We’ve got big things in the works, but in the meantime, we want to see what we can do to better communicate with you all! Part of that is being able to share more stuff as it comes through the pipeline; little super cool snippets of gameplay and assets, hot off the press! At the same time, we also want to start more consistent conversations around some features we’re looking to focus on in the future. To that end, we’ve got two new roles we’ll be rolling out on our Discord for those who want to participate:

• Explorer, for those who want to get the freshest of things in the works, including WIP assets
  
• Pioneer, for those who want to participate in content and design brainstorming in the future!
  

As always, join us on our Discord not only to say hi to our lovely team, but also to help us shape Lightyear Frontier! We have our own vision for what we want to see in the game, but our ears are also open for any suggestions or questions you might have.

Ta-da! Here we are! While you’re here listening to us talk about how we envision Lightyear Frontier, you can also get a great look at both the world being formed and us building the world, piece by piece. Every tree, rock, blade of grass, what-have-you, is placed with tons of love and care, and we’re proud to be handcrafting such an expansive experience.





Building Lightyear Frontier is a personal endeavor for us not just because we’re passionate about building an amazing world, but also because we’re learning about how we work as a team. We can’t emphasize enough just how cool it is that everyone can come together and feel like they can make real contributions, and we’re hoping that you approach the Frontier the same way when the time comes. More hands make less work, yeah?
