  1. Fixed several bugs produced as a result of minimizing and returning to the game or turning off the screen on iOS.
  2. Fixed bug where attempting to select equipment on your character could result in the equipment card being stuck on screen until the game was restarted.
  3. UI Improvement: Added a "Play" button when selecting a satchel card so it's more intuitive to understand how to use it. You can also still drag the card up to play it.
  4. Known Issue (Android): When attempting to sign-in with Google Play, player receives an error saying Google hasn't verified the app. We're working with Google to resolve this issue as quickly as possible. If you are experiencing this issue, please reach out to me via Discord @rossd20studios or send an email [email protected] with a screenshot. The more I understand how this is affecting some users and not others, the faster I can respond.
  5. Known Issue (Android): Some players have reported the game gets stuck in the loading screen. I'm working on a fix (it's possibly related to the sign-in issue above), but there are two workaround solutions: 1) Disable battery safe mode, start the game. After it loads, re-enable battery safe mode if desired. 2) Hold app icon -> App Info -> Store and cache -> Clear Storage, Clear cache. Then, restart the app.
  6. Known Issue (Itallian, Polish, Turkish and Other Language Support): As a solo dev, I rely on the generosity and support of our player community to help with translations. If you would be interested in volunteering, please contact me via Discord @rossd20studios. I create custom game cards named after you as a special thank you for all of our translators.

Here we are on the eve of our mobile launch for Abalon, officially launching tomorrow (though potentially available in your region now), and I'm excited to deliver another round of changes and some updates on the future of the game and where we're heading next.

Abalon Mobile Release

Abalon mobile is officially available on App Store and Google Play as of Thursday, November 7th! Register or link a D20Studios account to your Steam account to continue your Steam game's progress on your mobile devices and back to Steam again seamlessly!

  7. No RNG booster packs, cards to dust, or loot boxes
* Steam purchases are separate from the mobile version, similar to how a Nintendo Switch purchase is separate from Steam. While save games and progress sync, cards in premium sets require a separate purchase to use on the mobile version. This was the most fair for me to sell the game for all players and support the continued development of Abalon :)

**Content purchased in the mobile version does work between mobile platforms (i.e. content purchased on Apple works in Google Play and vice versa).


To sync your mobile device with your Steam progress, launch the game on Steam -> Menu -> Settings -> Account -> Register / Link -> Register. If you've already registered an account on mobile, you can choose Link Account instead and login. Your save with the most activity will be used on for all devices.

Leaderboard Reset

Also per player request, I've officially reset our leaderboards. As with our last reset, the previous scores shall be immortalized in our hall of fame, an enhanced leaderboard feature coming soon. This aims to give a fair competitive advantage to all of our players with the game's current balance and known exploits fix (see our change list below).

  1. Fixed exploit where it was possible to unlock all of the cards in an All-star deck by starting a Fast Adventure
  2. Fixed exploit where it was possible to change the cards found in a card in a card or satchel pickup on the board by immediately exiting the game after revealing the choices.
  3. Fixed exploit where it was possible to undo card replacements as this revealed deck information.
  4. Fixed exploit where equipping and unequipping certain artifacts (or having an equipped unit die) does not remove the item's ability (Ex: World Map, Compass, White Flag, Chrono Spectacles).
  5. Added the "Fire" tag to Red Dragon and Dragon Whelp as these cards are discounted by the Hellfire candle (Thanks Kanstume)
  6. Fixed bug with Traditional Chinese translation for Orc Battle Horn (Thanks Kantsume)
  7. Fixed bug where selecting "Replay Tutorial" while within the tutorial didn't reset the progress to the beginning of the tutorial.
  8. Fixed bug where the Summoner leaderboard wasn't loading
  9. Fixed bug where resetting account progress did not delete entries from the global and summoner leaderboard.
  10. Fixed bug where selecting a custom deck, exiting the game and returning would temporarily change the selected deck to null until entering the deck selector.
  11. Fixed bug where the "Choose"/"OK" button was hidden underneath the card when the largeUI option is enabled.
  12. Fixed bug where rasterizer did not always detect necessary rasterization changes for changing to/from the largeUI setting


2.0 Feature Requests Coming Soon

I've compiled a list of the top player requested changes and new new planned features below. I'll be working on these next along with addressing any other bugs/concerns along the way. Let me know what you think of this list: What are you most excited about? What's missing?
  1. Ability to filter leaderboards by different versions or competitive seasons so that we can maintain Hall of Fame records and promote new competition as the game evolves.
  2. Ability to click on a leaderboard row to bring up that player's run summary so you can see how the score was derived.

  4. Ability to sort cards by gold cost
  5. New Exit Game option: Abandon Run

I'm both overwhelmed and delighted to reach this milestone. It's been over 8 years since I started the development Abalon, with an even longer prior history dating back to the release of Hero Mages in 2009 and the creation of the physical board game that started this crazy journey in 2006.

Our spooky event has ended, but development continues with another round of fixes! This build adds full translations for v2.0 for all other languages we support. Huge thanks to all of our translators for your support. [h2]Abalon Mobile Release on November 7th[/h2]
In case you haven't heard yet, Abalon is coming to the App Store and Google Play on Thursday, November 7th! The mobile version will fully sync with your Steam progress so you can pick up where you left on Steam, resume on mobile, then return back to your Steam machine seamlessly!

The mobile version of Abalon is free to download and play with optional paid expansions. Keep in mind that while save games and progress sync between platforms, Steam entitlements do not carry over, so using characters not included in the Core set requires a DLC purchase on the mobile version (a bit similar to if you had bought the Steam version and wanted to play on Nintendo Switch would require a separate purchase). Expansions purchased on mobile will work on any of the platforms where Abalon is available free (currently Google Play and Apple) so you don't have to purchase again if you're just moving to a different mobile platform. Just wanted to make sure I was upfront about this so everyone's aware. This was the most fair for me to sell the game for all players and support the continued development of Abalon :)

Finally, I want to take a moment to thank everyone for your new and updated Steam reviews! I am so grateful we're meeting your expectations in 2.0 and I aim to continue improving the game even more.

To give some context to just how much impact the 2.0 release has had, we've seen our average concurrent player base increase by 8X - this is HUGE!
