The Wreck is part of PAX Rising Online

PAX Rising Online, taking place July 9-10, will feature demos of select indie games, as well as a full schedule of content ranging from panel discussions covering various aspects of the video game industry to silly games from the PAX community on Discord to win game keys on Steam!
Florent, the game designer of The Wreck, will be answering questions from the PAX community (Saturday 9 at 10:30am PST), and doing a Let's Play of the game's first 30 minutes (11am PST).

We played The Wreck from start to finish!

It's always a huge moment in a gamedev's life, and we thought we'd share it with you: for the first time since we started working on The Wreck, more than four years ago, we managed to play the game from start to finish!
So of course, there were still a lot of little bugs and details to iron out. But it's still a great sign, it means that the release is now in sight. And we're really, really excited for you to play too.
So see you soon for more info, either here, on our Twitter account or on our Discord server!

The Wreck Stream: Gameplay with Developer Commentary

LudoNarraCon, the great celebration of narrative-focused games, is happening May 5-9 on Steam, and The Wreck is part of it! For the occasion, join co-writer and game designer Florent Maurin as he plays through the game's first hour.

We'll meet with Junon, her sister Diane, and a cast of various characters. We'll discover mysterious memories and try to make sense of them. We'll laugh at the bugs that still need to be ironed out before release. In a nutshell: we'll have a good time together!

And of course, we have a special updated version of the game's demo available to download and play during the event.

Keep up to date on The Wreck by following our Twitter account and joining our Discord server.

The Wreck is selected as part of the PAX Rising showcase

To those who don't know the event, PAX East is pretty huge, pretty hectic and pretty cool. That's why we're really thrilled to announce that The Wreck will be showcased there this year! And not in any place of the show: we've been selected as part of the very prestigious Rising Showcase. We'll be surrounded with 11 other super cool indie games - how amazing is that?
So, if you're in or around Boston, United States, between April 21-24, please come to PAX East and find your way to our booth. We'd be glad to meet you, and we'll have goodies to share!

How to write a reality-inspired game?

The Wreck is a narrative heavy title. It's also tackling topics that are not often discussed in games, but are super present in other media such as films, novels and even comic books.
Florent Maurin is the head of The Pixel Hunt, a studio with a focus on reality-inspired games. He wrote the story for The Wreck together with his sister Coralie, over the course of two years.
In this event, Florent plays the demo of The Wreck while explaining the creative process behind the writing of the game's story. From the real-life experience that gave him the initial idea to the little personal details his sister and him put here and there, expect a lot of anecdotes!
