Demo Available during Steam Next Festival!

Dear warriors, we will release a Steam demo version during the Steam Next Festival, which happens from June 19th to June 26th (PDT). All Steam users will have the opportunity to download and experience the beta version of The Matchless KungFu. This demo release aims to gather feedback, suggestions, and user experiences from a wider audience, which will help us further improve and optimize the game.
The demo is partly translated into English. But the translation is not complete because we are still adding and fixing things right before the fest. The localization is without LQA unfortunately, since everything has a chance to get changed in the future so the texts are not settled for now.

After the Steam Next Festival, we will close the demo and continue our development works.

What is "The Matchless Kungfu"?

Before introducing the amazing martial arts to everyone, we would like to first introduce ourselves. We are HuanMos, a group of veteran players who love indie games. When a group of sandbox and open-world enthusiasts come together, they always want to create an interesting fantasy world. Just like the sandbox masterpiece "Kenshi", we also want to create a martial arts world that allows everyone to experience as much freedom and reality as possible. Therefore, when we created the martial arts world, we did not set a fixed main storyline or constraints. As a martial arts-themed game with sandbox features, we handed over the entire construction of the martial arts world to everyone. You can create your own 江湖(jiāng hú, a concept that mainly refer to social complex and sect conflicts in Wuxia novels), choose your own challenges and pursuits. You can wander and struggle in this world, become a hero, quietly cultivate in a secluded place to become a hidden master, join a sect to steadily grow, or engage in business and become rich. More content will be explored by everyone themselves.

At the same time, with the rapid development of AI, we are also thinking about whether we can make the NPCs in the game gradually "smart". Therefore, the NPCs in The Matchless Kungfu are not like "tools" with fixed behavior routes and reactions. We also want them to have their own attitudes, identities, ways of thinking and behavior, and make immediate responses based on the current situation and their personality needs. Most of the things that heroes can do, NPCs can also do. Every action that heroes make towards NPCs will also cause corresponding attitude changes in the NPCs, leading to feedback changes. However, they are still a bit clumsy and even a bit "moody" and "not so smart" - these are all things we will gradually optimize with everyone's help.

In short, our wish is to let players obtain their own unique enjoyment from this self-made rivers and lakes - free, unrestrained, and full of fun. Different players may play The Matchless Kungfu in different ways.
We aim to bring players fresh gameplay and experiences, which has also created a demand for improved guidance for newcomers. Based on feedback from previous rounds of beta testing, we have found that players who are new to "The Matchless Kungfu" often find themselves in situations where they are unsure of how to play or get stuck at certain points. As a result, we have made various optimizations to the new player guidance, particularly focusing on the combat system. We understand that the initial guidance is crucial for players to truly enjoy the game, so during this New Product Festival test, we also hope to gather your opinions and suggestions. If there are any areas that are difficult to understand, we welcome your feedback and criticism!

Optimizations in the current New Product Festival demo compared to the last close beta include:

Expanded the number of Land Masses types to 75, with an increased limit of 35 for creating Land Masses.
Optimized the new player guidance and various interactive menus.
Now player can construct and place facilities freely and specific location/foundation is not needed anymore.
Enhanced the trading system for improved functionality.
Added a new encounter system to provide exciting and unexpected events.
Implemented sect and faction systems to allow players to engage with different groups.
Players can now establish their own sect within the game.
Stealth/Sneak gameplay
9.Included an auction house feature for buying and selling items.
10.Introduced facility management mechanics for players to oversee their establishments.
11.Expanded the tutorial content for the Heavenly Book, providing more comprehensive guidance.

As a game that emphasizes high freedom and player agency, there are many gameplay mechanics and actions that players may come up with that we might not have thought of.
