A Chat with All Heroes~~

It's been more than a month since our last update. We sincerely thank you all for your timely feedback on bugs and other issues. However, due to various factors, our communication with you has been limited. You might not know what we’ve been working on, and that's on us. We admit we lack experience in this regard. After much thought, we’ve decided to share a brief development log to give you a glimpse into our upcoming work.
What We're Working on Now

Adventure Content Updates
Over the next three months, we will continue developing brand-new adventures, ensuring that each month we add at least three new adventures to existing land plots. We hope these additions will bring you a fresh experience in the martial arts world, with each plot featuring 1-3 different quests and minor exploration content.
For example, as seen in our previous update, meditating under the Swallow Falls increases your health—an adventure that doesn’t rely solely on dialogue.
NPC AI LOD Range Adjustment
Many of you have pointed out that NPCs become stationary when you move far away from them. Initially, this design was meant to accommodate players with lower-end hardware to prevent lag when navigating through multiple plots.

In last week’s update, we introduced a new feature: AI activation range adjustment. We invite all heroes to help test this system's effectiveness.
There are four levels: 1, 2, 4, and Unlimited. The first three levels are multiples of the original AI range, and setting it to Unlimited will allow AI activity across 144 plots in real-time. If you experience any lag, please reduce the range accordingly.

Players with systems that meet or exceed the recommended specs can set the AI range to 4x or higher for a smooth experience
NPC AI Optimization
We have introduced a new background evolution feature. Now, when NPCs are not in the active area, their relationship will still evolve. We will continue to improve this system based on your feedback and suggestions.

In addition, we have improved the aggressive behavior of NPCs. NPCs will no longer attack players because of low favorability. Instead, if NPCs dislike players due to negative behavior or conflict, they will express their dissatisfaction through whispers. NPCs will only attack players if they behave maliciously near these NPCs or have a grudge against them.
Sect Uniqueness Adjustment
We’ve heard from many of you that aside from differences in martial arts and geography, the sects don’t feel all that distinct. To address this, we’re planning a significant overhaul of sect gameplay to make each one truly unique.

Each sect will be given a special gameplay mechanic. For example, the Misfortune Sect will introduce a divination system, where drawing lots can grant various buffs and effects. The Drunken Sect will focus on brewing different types of alcohol, while the Poison Mist Sect will have more recipes for crafting poisons and medicines.
Our goal is to make each sect more distinctive and embody the true spirit of the martial world.
Future Plans

Lot Adjustment Function
We are currently researching and developing a feature that will allow players to modify the positions of land plots once certain conditions are met. Please be patient, as this feature is still in the works
Main Storyline
The main storyline has been a highly requested feature, and we’re working to provide a balanced and reasonable narrative experience within our current framework. We plan to enhance the story from the point where players arrive in Longquan Town to their eventual rise as the leader of the martial world.
However, The Matchless Kungfu is not a linear narrative game. The story exists to fill in the missing elements of the world’s lore and background. Our primary focus will continue to be on gameplay, with the main story serving as a guide through key points in the game.
More Sects and Supreme Arts
We’re currently developing new sects and supreme arts, distinct from the previously introduced Royal City and Assassin paths. These new sects will each have their own complete systems of supreme arts and gameplay mechanics:

Skyforge Pavilion: Specializes in heavy weaponry. Their supreme art, "Force," allows them to accumulate and control "Force" during combat. The more "Force" they have, the higher the damage they can deal. However, accumulating too much "Force" can put them at a disadvantage.

Linglong Swordhouse: Focuses on the unique sword casket gameplay. The sword casket is a special piece of equipment that only Swordhouse disciples can fully utilize

Esoteric Buddhist Sect: Specializes in persuasion and conversion. They have a unique mechanism called "Persuasion." When certain conditions are met, they can directly convince opponents to abandon their weapons and seek enlightenment. Additionally, the Esoteric Sect excels in verbal duels and is highly skilled in Buddhist teachings.
More Immersive and Fun Features
Nickname System: Masters in the martial world often have nicknames or titles, like "Thunderbolt Hand" or "Golden Lion King." In future updates, we’ll be adding nicknames for special NPCs, who will be world-renowned experts with unique martial arts techniques. Players who complete specific quests can earn these nicknames and choose one to stand out in the martial world.

Acupoint Upgrades and Internal Skill Enhancements are also in the design phase and will be introduced in the next major update. We’re also working on several other improvements to enhance your experience, such as merging farm harvests, raising Gu insects, optimizing music gameplay, refining NPC AI behavior, and overhauling core stats to better tie in with abilities.
A Final Word
We’ve seen and heard all your thoughts and feedback. Every member of our team grew up with wuxia novels, and we truly understand the passion behind your suggestions. Many of your ideas are not just good—they’re fantastic. Internally, we’ve discussed them at length and believe they align perfectly with what we want to achieve. We’ve received many suggestions for feature optimizations, and these ideas are often things we’ve also dreamt of implementing. However, due to various constraints, we haven’t been able to immediately bring them to life in the game

Over the past few months, we’ve restructured much of the underlying code in The Matchless Kungfu, enabling us to support features that were previously impossible. This has allowed us to develop many of the exciting additions mentioned here.

At the end of this month, we’ll be releasing a detailed update plan and schedule for the next three months. We hope you’ll come back to see what’s in store. Finally, we want to express our deepest gratitude to all the heroes who have supported The Matchless Kungfu. Your support means the world to us, and we promise to keep improving and updating the game.
