Pillars Of The Rising Sun - Hunting

To feed the hungry mouths coming to your village you need to provide food. Edible plants are easily served on the menu, but you should engage in the thrill of hunting to get even more food.

In nearby woods you’ll encounter all types of animals, like skittish hares, red foxes, Sika deer and dangerous boars. These denizens of the woods provide not just meat, but also fur and other trophies. Hone your spear-throwing or bow skills on targeting practice, and venture into the wild.

You can of course send out your villagers to do the demanding yet fulfilling task of patiently tracking and culling game. To get things started, build a Hunter’s Hut for villagers.

And keep in mind that food can spoil, so prepare it and store it accordingly!

Pillars Of The Rising Sun - Woodcutting

Youkoso!

To meet the demands of your village, cutting down trees becomes a reliable way to produce an ample supply of logs.

Sengoku Dynasty contains a variety of tree types, including conifer, deciduous, premium conifer, premium deciduous, fruit, and a special tree type that provides paper bark for paper production. Each tree type yields different wood, allowing you to customize the look of your buildings. We've put effort into capturing the diversity of trees to enhance your immersion in the game world.

The process of obtaining resources from trees involves several steps. Begin by cutting the tree core, followed by removing leaves and branches until you have logs ready for further processing. With an axe or adze, you can debark the logs, and depending on the tool used, obtain firewood, or turn them into planks—the most fundamental building resource.

Premium trees present a challenge, as they cannot be cut down with a basic stone axe. To access their valuable wood, you'll need better tools. However, it's important to note that trees aren't just for building; the Paper Mulberry tree type provides essential paper bark required for paper production.

Stay tuned for more updates as we bring this exciting gameplay element to life!
