[h2]Christmas Event Bugfixes[/h2]

• The Christmas Trophy is going to spawn from now on for everyone who unlocked the achievement.
  
• The cookies and the candy cane will not damage the player anymore on the Tropical and Desert’s instraction point.
  
• The Eggnog will not disappear and magically transform into a Gun Shield anymore. :')
  

[h2]General Bugfixes[/h2]

• The bottom shelves of the Legendary cabinets were mistakenly unlockable with anything. Now it has been fixed.
  
• You will be able to use distance grab again at the Legendary cabinets, the Locked Chest of the Tropical instraction point and the Christmas snacks.
  
• The Gun Shield’s inventory rotation has been fixed.

Join us this winter to celebrate the holidays on Evergreen Stalks from the 22nd till the 10th of January!
Traditional plants have been used for thousands of years and can be found at celebrations all around the world. Get into the Christmas spirit by joining our event, where you’ll get access to exclusive items, decorated beanstalks, and the Christmas Trophy!
To earn the Christmas Trophy, you’ll need to collect various ornaments, which you can do by:

• defeating enemies wearing Santa's caps,
  
• opening gift packs on the hidden branches

The Christmas tree ornaments come in 3 colors: blue, red, and gold. Use them to craft new items and decorate the big Christmas tree in the Treehouse. These collected Christmas ornaments will remain after the event ends and you can still craft from them, but no more will be found.



[h3]Once the tree is decorated, you will get the Christmas Trophy. Get it by decorating the big Christmas tree in the middle of the Treehouse with:[/h3]

• 10 blues,
  
• 10 reds
  
• 10 gold ornaments.
  
• Defeat opponents wearing Santa hats to earn red ornaments.

Exclusive consumables during the festive season:[/h3]

• wide variety of cookies and sweets,
  
• turkey legs,
  
• gingerbread stalker with a blade slammer
  
• and milk potion
  
• These all give you some hp, some detox, and heat when consumed. Obtain them from gift packs, stockings, and extraction-instraction plates. These collected consumables will remain after the event ends but no more will be found.

• Festive Double Barrel Shotgun
  
• Confetti magazine; Holy Hand Grenade.
  
• These can be crafted from the Christmas tree ornaments collected from beanstalks.

[h2]The holidays are here: let’s celebrate it with a Christmas event and a Speedrun Competition![/h2]
The competition will start and end at the same time as the Christmas event (from 22nd December 2021 until 10th January 2022). Get back in shape after the holiday meals and burn some calories on the beanstalks: exercise has never been more fun. 😉

You will need to upload a video of your greatest, fastest run to any video-sharing site and send us a link to [email protected].

It does not need to be a Public video. It’s enough if you change the video’s permission to “Anyone with the link can view it”.

After the event is concluded, we are going to notify the winners via email. We would like to share their videos as a montage – with their permission – so make sure to record your most shareable moments!

- You have to start a clean profile (so obviously you will not have unlocked levels and recipes and you could use only those resources which you have collected in that run);
- The run starts when you firstly loaded into the Tropical instraction and ends when you are going to grab the first Golden Bean.

We are glad to announce that the Christmas update is coming soon! We would like to gift you with an extra update, along with bug fixes and a new weapon in order to offer you a better gameplay experience while you wait.




The Arctic stalk is considered one of the most dangerous regions to explore, and for good reason. Extra protection or firepower always comes in handy: the new Gun Shield pack offers both.
This unique hybrid was designed to allow players to attack their foes while being shielded from their attacks. The shotgun charge in the middle of the shield packs a powerful blast that can shred any enemy that dares to come close enough, but loses most of its strength at a distance. Last but not least the shield part can collapse into a compact form for a better fit.

Try it out after unlocking the Arctic stalk!

• Added a new weapon, the Gun Shield.

• Temporarily disabled the Twitch poll. It's going to be enabled in the next update with new features.

• Loots in chests are distributed more evenly on the Arctic level.
  
• The desert towers' detection range is shorter now.
  
• Limited the amount of damage you can deal to the Tropical boss, as the poor sod was way too easy to kill by using grenades.
  

[h2]Arctic fixes: [/h2]

• Fixed the blizzard messing up the players’ movement.
  
• Fixed the heat drink looted from the chests, so it would not damage you when you drink.
  
• Golden Bean dropped by the Arctic Boss has been relocated, as it was hard to reach.
  
• You can no longer damage the Arctic Boss by just killing the little tentacles while the Boss is frozen.
  
• Fixed the colliders around the eyes, climbing should be more comfortable now.
  
• Fixed the missing texture on the instraction point.
  
• Fixed the LOD on several arctic objects.
  
• Fixed the missing highlights for every item and resource.
  
• Removed the exploding flower temporarily.
  
• Removed the ‘Kill an Explosive Flower’ daily quest.
  

[h2]Desert fixes: [/h2]

• Fixed the arrival to the tree, as sometimes players would arrive at random locations on the branches.
  
• Fixed the ammo chest’s destination choosing logic, as sometimes it arrived to a different extraction point.
  
• Fixed the extraction zip line: sometimes it was in the branches so it was impossible to reach and extract.
  
• Fixed the puzzle on the Desert Challenge Island-
  
• Fixed the LOD objects for the snitch hive and the golden cactus.
  
• Fixed the size of the foliage on the Desert Challenge Island.

• Fixed the derringer’s reload animation glitch.
  
• Fixed the visual of a few stones on the Complex Tropical Floating Island.
  
• Fixed the visual of the airdrop and instraction’s chest.
  
• Fixed the size of the foliage on the Complex Tropical Floating Island.
  
• Fixed the beehive alert sound, which had not played every time.

• In the Climging tutorial, you can no longer soft-lock yourself by stacking all the resources from the branches before putting them into your inventory.
  
• In the Climging tutorial, your grappling hook will no longer levitate far away. It only happened in a specific falling scenario, but it was annoying.
  
• Fixed the ore sizes in the Climbing tutorial.

• Fixed broken controller support for HTC Vive Cosmos.
• We fixed several places where you could clip into.
  
• The long sword spawns into the correct position after crafted.
  
• Fixed the colliders around the crafting table.
  
• Fixed a bug that caused the map selector to display a white screen on the pane.
  
• The music volume settings are persistent now.
  
• The music volume had been reseted on every loading before.
  
• Removed the 'annoying' jump sound.

During the last few months we've been struggling with a bug that was stopping us from completing the Christmas Update. Despite working very hard on it for weeks, we just didn’t seem to get it right. The deadline was getting closer by the minute and the situation was getting tense.

Our server seemed to be possessed.

The solution?

“We got our server blessed (for real)!” We turned to the local church across the street for guidance. The parson was very helpful and blessed our server. This way we were able to fix that nasty bug just before the deadline and continue with our development.
With this great news, we can proudly present our first update built on a holy server, The Holy Update!
