What’s that beat? More about DDS music!

How well do you know the opening beat of DDS? It’s totally our jam, to be sure. And while we talk about music, we have good news to share: K. Pietras, the composer of the DDS music is working on the tunes for DDS2! He even has one piece to share with ya’ll already!

Sick, ain’t it? Makes you wanna dance!

And because it seems we’ll be having a proper soundtrack series, we’ve opened up a new chat on our Discord that’s all about music. K. Pietras himself will be involved there so go and talk, and ask, and discuss all you wanna know about making music!

If you want to find him on social media, here are his handles 👇
Quoting K. Pietras, when he was making music for DDS he used A LOT: there’s hip hop, rave, cinematic music. And he’s very hyped about working with the community while composing meme rave tracks for DDS2. So, go to our Discord and talk to him!

Honest, we can’t wait to listen to what he cooks up.

What about that cat?

We asked you to give us a possible answer to “what about the cat?” for funsies, and, man, you have delivered!

We got a lot of answers, and we love them all, but we have five absolute winners who made us lose our breath from laughing too much. Thanks for that, btw.

Here are our winning answers!
 • The cat is the narrator from the first game and hopefully the second game - by Meesvd
 • The cat isn't real, we are all tripping balls - by MeiShadow
 • The cat is the real developer - by Marcelutzz
 • The cat will probably knock you off the map - GameMaster
 • The cat must be an even older god than the petty Octopus Cthulhu, which I can only assume the cat ate - by Tehocera

All of the answers get bonus kudos from our cat-loving team. Dear winners, write to us here on Steam (either to Gabe, Argetaie or Miriam) to claim your reward! *wink wink* We might pull something out of our hat!

What’s up Dealers?

We can’t deny you have amazed us once again. You completed the first part of the puzzle in just 11 minutes, and the second in... 36 minutes! As a reminder, it took you 24 minutes to crack the numbers station code, so you're probably cut out to be inside men!

Let's get back to the solution of our puzzle. Last week we teased you with the Isla Sombra map. You received it in two parts, here is the first and here is the second. BUT the time has come to show it in its full glory!
Fun fact:
DDS2’s playable map area is about 30 times bigger than DDS1, if you count water bodies and rivers. You’ll have a lot to do in the game, but that’s necessary, especially if you play with your friends.
Many of you have also asked: "What about the cat?”
We have an answer, but… You tell us first! Just guess. If we like your answer, we might find something cool to give away, who knows.

The final piece of the puzzle
It's time to complete the mystery!
Can you piece together the second part of the aerial photo of Isla Sombra? Find the first part in our previous post.

New evidence RECOVERED: Aerial reconnaissance, damaged
Dealers, hot news straight from Isla Sombra!
One of our agents at the FDCA Louisiana branch was able to recover a shredded photograph from a trash-collecting truck near one of Isla Sombra’s mansions.

This evidence package contains only half of the entire photo. Our lab technicians are still trying to recover the second half as it was badly damaged. This first part needs piecing together though.

Remember that this is just half of the recovered document. We’re working on the rest in our lab and will send it over later for you to add to what you already put together. Then it should create an aerial photo of the entire Isla Sombra.

Ready? Let’s get to work then!
