Crash fix almost here + MANY things to come

Heyo Dealers!

First of all, thanks to all our community testers who helped us test the upcoming crash fix. It’s right around the corner, and it should deal with the majority of crashes, making a big difference overall. It’ll come this week, and if everything goes smoothly - maybe even tomorrow! Stay tuned.

We also updated our roadmap that you can see on the game’s store page. Here’s what the team at Byterunners is working on, or has queued up for the next updates.

 • Economy expansion
 • Co-op & lobby improvements - incl. better matching interface
 • Visual improvements - details, lighting, better navigation
 • World life enhancements - population, animals and critters, active objects, NPC dialogues and monologues, personal touches to specific locations, encounters
 • Expanded NPC system
 • Character customization
 • More travel options, including new vehicle features
 • Expanded substance properties that will affect mixes and sale consequences
 • New bosses & loot
 • Combat improvements
 • Raid system overhaul - including milita city raids
 • More cartel features - more management and configuration options, a new employee role
 • New items and equipment

And also: quality-of-life overhaul for things like UI, mechanics interactions, readability.

We’ll let you know how the work progresses. The crash fix is almost here, and we plan another update for the celebration of 5 years of DDS. Maybe DDS1 will also get an update? HMMM. Who knows, right? Wink wink.

In any case, get ready to d e a l, and don’t forget that both DDS titles will come to Xbox and PlayStation. DDS1 Xbox launches very soon - on 16 April 2025! Woop woop.

Take a tour of Casino DLC

Hey all!

This is Pawel from True Games Syndicate, the team behind Casino DLC. I thought it’d be nice to show you around our fine establishment near the coast of Isla Sombra. In a series of devlogs like this one, I’ll tell you exactly what Casino DLC is, and how we aimed to make it complementary to the DDS2 experience.

Let’s start with: what happens when you first launch it?

When you install Casino DLC, you’ll see that a new location appeared on the map: the Big Win Oil Rig, which is the host to the Wallet Drainer Casino. It’s a place where not everyone can simply come.

DDS2: Casino DLC comes with a questline that starts with you gaining entry to the casino and ends with you taking over the business, which becomes your cash cow. But before you get there, you’ll have a couple of hours of gameplay before you - not to mention the main attraction, which is chilling out with friends while playing poker.

ONLY THE HOST NEEDS TO HAVE THE DLC INSTALLED to enjoy it with friends. The other two players can just join without buying the DLC.

We designed the Casino primarily as a place to hang out in for DDS2 crews. Now if you just want to spend fun time with your friends, you don’t have to continue doing the usual drug dealing business. You can come to the casino together, take a seat at a table and try to take them to the cleaners.

Our main attraction is a variety of single player / co-op casino games: Texas Hold’em, All-in Poker, Blackjack and Roulette. There are also slot machines if the only competitor you need is Lady Luck. To play, you need to exchange cash for chips, and when you win, you can either cash them, or - if you got Golden Chips - use them to buy exclusive stuff such as decorations for your hideouts.

There are areas that are available from the start, but also a VIP lounge where you need to earn admittance. But, I think this is long enough for the first preview devlog. Stay with us, join the DDS2 Discord (now with its very own Casino corner), and wishlist the DLC so you don’t miss the release.

See ya, dealers!

Moreover, 16 April is DDS’s B-day, and this year it’ll be 5 years old! This calls for a celebration, and a celebration it will be. We’re preparing many attractions for this period that will concern all the games in our series. Today, we can reveal the first big thing.
On its 5th Birthday, Drug Dealer Simulator will come to Xbox!
• Xbox Series X
 • Xbox Series S
 • Xbox One

Later you can expect it to also land on PlayStation. If you’d like to stay informed about the console versions, join our Discord and wishlist DDS on Xbox.

“Yeah, but what about PC,” you’re asking?

Stay tuned, and get ready to DDS.

Peace!

Hotfix incoming!

Hello, Dealers!

After a big update there’s gotta be a hotfix. So there is!

IMPORTANT: We recommend not using mods, as they can potentially cause issues in the game.

Changes: Change name of “LSD compound” to “LSD”;
Influencers now will only accept LSD (LSD compound);
Potential customers won't want LSD anymore;
Added missing translations;
Increased price and quantity of LSD produced by lab technician.

Fixes: Fixed an issue where distributor sales rules cannot be set correctly for dealers in other regions than the distributor;
Fixed an issue where an NPC in the LSD questline was not visible in coop to a guest;
Fixed an issue where the client could duplicate itself;
Fixed military stash textures;
Fixed an issue where it was not possible to enter a room with a safe in a villa on a private island;
Fixed an issue where not all warehouses were marked on the minimap;
Fixed an issue where mid-tier recipes for lab tech could not be unlocked correctly;
Fixed an issue where the yacht “Caballo del Mar” may not have been properly interactive after it was purchased;
Fixed an issue where a passenger in the “Bong Voyage” yacht was sitting in the incorrect position, and after leaving the yacht, his camera was skewed;
Other minor fixes.

Happy playing!
