Greetings Adventurer and Welcome to Chapter 3!

As always, this update was made based on your feedback and we're excited to show you all the changes, new features, and improvements that made it into this first update of Chapter 3!

Before we dive deep into the details of Chapter 3, we wanted to say a big thank you for your support!

🆕 What’s New in Chapter 3?


[h2]🎲New Features[/h2]
[h3]Miniature Overview List[/h3]
As a GM, the Miniature Overview List allows you to easily keep track of all the miniatures on the table. With it, you can now:
  • Jump to the location of miniatures
  • Keep track of HP of miniatures
  • Quick-Access character sheets
  • Quick-Access Full Dive
  • Quickly add & remove miniatures to the Combat Initiative

For players (Non-GMs), this list is automatically filtered to only display the party members.
[h3]New Healthbar System in Tabletop Mode[/h3]
The new system for healthbars now only displays HP bars in tabletop mode when hovering over a miniature.

As a GM you can switch between the following settings for your Players:
  • Full For All: All Players (Non-GMs) can see the HP bar on hover, including the exact number values.
  • Exact Numbers Only For GM: Players will only see the HP bar but no exact numbers
  • Only For GM: Players will have no info displayed when hovering miniatures

[h3]Undo / Redo Tool for Mapbuilder[/h3]
The highly requested Undo/Redo Tool has been added to the mapbuilder! It allows you to undo OR redo your last map building actions.

[h3]Customizeable World & Player View[/h3]
A new setting has been added to the options: With the world & player visibility setting you can now choose to hide the table and/or the other players depending on your personal preferences.


[h2]⚙️Improved Code Modding Support[/h2]
  • The coding backend of DFD has been changed from IL2CPP to Mono for better mod support.
  • Additionally, a first wiki on how to mod DFD was created You can check it out over HERE.

[h2]🎵New Music[/h2]
A new dynamic song has been added to the soundboard! As always, it includes 3 levels of intensity for your GM to dynamically adjust depending on the flow of the campaign.

[h3]New Wizard Outfit for humanoid species[/h3]
The new wizard outfit is here! It includes a new hat, a new chest piece, new gauntlets, and new boots!

[h3]6 Clothing Sets for Dragonborns[/h3]
Six new clothing sets have been added for the Dragonborn species!
Disclaimer: Dragonborn characters that have been created before the Chapter 3 Update must be reconfigured in the Character Editor to work correctly with the new version of the game.
[h3]8 new eye sets for Dragonborns[/h3]
Eight new eye sets have been added to the Dragonborn species,
[h3]2 new horns for Dragonborns[/h3]
You can now choose between two different sets of horns as Dragonborn.

[h3]New GM Dice Set[/h3]
As part of the GM Edition Upgrade, all Players have been rewarded with the GM Edition exclusive "Game Master" Dice set.

[h3]New Lorekeeper Dice Set[/h3]
A new dice set has been added that can be unlocked for free by participating in the lorekeeper community event.

🛠️ Additional Improvements

We have also been doing a lot of miscellaneous improvements on existing features as well as bug fixes. Here is the complete overview of the changes and fixes:
[h2]Additional Improvements[/h2]

  • New Main Menu design, Play Screen design, animation & music
  • Improved smoothing brush for terraforming

  • Added new sound effects for the character editor, map building, UI interactions, and item usages
  • While in tabletop mode PC players are now prevented from going too far out of bounds.
  • Added an indication when players are attempting to mapbuild outside of the current table area
  • Dice are now bigger in PC & VR and scale with you in VR
  • Added animation when placing map assets
  • TOTW Oneshot maps are now marked as official


[h2]Resolved Bugs[/h2]

  • Fixed characters not correctly reacting to the light depending on the selected mood setting
  • Fixed duplicate ID issues on official maps which caused network interactions not to be shown correctly for certain objects
  • Fixed terrain issues where terrain disappeared after going into full dive from terraforming
  • Fixed frame lags in Miniature Browser & Map Browser UIs. You can now browse the mapbrowser even while it's loading new maps.
  • Fixed character sheet unintentionally opening when writing in chat
  • Fixed Voice Chat Indicator overlay not correctly showing in PC
  • Fixed an issue where the only available character was a bear and no new characters could be created
