Eagle GT
[p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink]The Eagle GT is an all-rounder muscle car that doesn’t feel overwhelming. Its best stat is handling, but don't underestimate it! A forgiving front-wheel drive with solid suspension and decent torque means the car won't fight you on the road. Combined with above-average mass and armor, this car is a strong choice for melee builds, even compared to later vehicles. Your starting weapon is the ol' reliable Machine Gun. It is effective against both metal and infected flesh, though you'll need to close the distance to manage the range dropoff. The 'Boost Refill' perk lets you start each race with a boost bottle and refunds one if you reset. The Eagle GT is easy to maneuver and versatile enough for any scenario. If you like to drive recklessly and smash into things, this is the ride for you. [/p][p][/p]
Clunker 1978
[p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink]The Clunker is the first unlockable car in Rogue Shift and your first taste of the tankier, collision-focused gameplay style. With top-tier durability and defense, this AWD rust bucket is built to last. However, you must respect its weight: the massive chassis grips the road, but once you lose control, its sheer momentum may drag you into a slide. The combat loop rewards getting close to unleash maximum damage, whether with shotgun shells or metal-on-metal bashing. Just be warned: this melee-focused machine may have a hard time catching nimble opponents or winning races on pure speed. With Tank Return, as you add additional upgrades, any additions to defense will increase your damage in kind, making for a killing machine that itself is hard to kill. If you prefer bashing and clashing over shooting, the Clunker may be your deadly daily driver.[/p][p][/p]
Firecracker 5 Turbo
[p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink]The Firecracker 5 is not for the cautious or faint of heart. Acceleration is its top stat, with top speed close behind. It’s easy to spin out in this speedy rear-wheel drive death trap, so the missile comes standard to help blast those who drive past you. For a little help when you least expect it, the Magic Number perk will give you a serious bonus to your boost and ammo on every seventh use. The Firecracker 5 is all about acceleration and making consequences the future’s problem. If you like to play your luck and go fast without fear, this hellacious hummingbird will feel like home.[/p][p][/p]
SQR-NE55 Vision74
[p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink]The SQR is a blank slate. Probably the most well-rounded of the bunch, the SQR does not have a standout stat. As your confidence increases, this car is a fantastic direct upgrade to the Eagle GT. The lasergun is effective at all ranges and does a lot of damage with little effort if you enhance it with perks. To more easily build upon the bedrock that is the SQR, the initial perk, called Whale, gives discounts to upgrades and free restocks to expand your build potential. Build diversity is important in a roguelite loop, so if you’re one to tinker until you find the perfect fit, you’ll be a fan of the SQR-NE55.[/p][p][/p]
Hawk 1977
[p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink]The Hawk GT is the perfect pairing of power behind your wheels and weapons. Top speed, offense, and acceleration are grouped at the top, giving this car some serious potential. Its lowest stat is handling, though: you’ll need to carefully navigate corners, jumps, and slippery patches of mud and blood to stay close to the pack in this heavy, drift-friendly RWD monster. The high-caliber shotgun is slow to use and requires a little finesse, but the damage output is devastating when properly deployed. The initial perk, Meat Shield, gives you the ability to bring your defensive capabilities in line with your offense by increasing durability with every undead enemy you defeat. It has the highest collision damage multiplier of the fastest cars, so if you can tame the beast, it is the best of both worlds.[/p][p][/p]
Can You Survive Carmageddon?
[p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink]This was just the first five cars you’ll collect on your race to escape the wasteland. Each wreck brings more powerful weapons, perks, and vehicles. As you become familiar with the tools of the trade, you’ll mix and match these pieces to create your own optimal killing machine. We can't wait for you to jump in the driver's seat and put your skills to the test. Wishlist today, and we’ll see you on the wasteland!
