Choose Your Lane - Select a Survival Style

[p]Greetings, drivers! We're 34BigThings, the team behind Redout and now the revival of Carmageddon. Our armageddon involves WW3, cellular degeneration, and, of course, evil corporations. Your chances of survival are already slim, but you may make it to the spaceport if you learn the new ways of the road. Today we’ll break down the cars and perks for three distinct playstyles.

Before we break down the gear, let’s go over how it is acquired.

Black Market and Shop Stops
[p]New abilities and weapons are obtained at random from “shop stops” on your journey across the Wasteland. They appear as golden symbols on the event map. Cars and permanent unlocks are obtained from the Black Market menu at the start of a run. [/p]
  • [p]Black Market: Cars, Perks, and Permanent Upgrades are found in the Black Market. After you wreck or complete a run, you spend your awarded beatcoins here. [/p]
  • [p]Workshop: All perks you unlock from the Black Market will appear here. There is no guarantee that you’ll get exactly what you want, so it is always best to approach build crafting with a few ideas in mind just in case the reroll gods work against your initial idea.[/p]
  • [p]Weapons Dealer: The same concept applies here. Once you unlock all weapons and their variants in the Black Market, they can be selected in the weapon shop. [/p]
  • [p]Extended mag: A bigger mag means more damage over time. [/p]
  • [p]Rapid fire: Faster fire rate means higher damage per second. [/p]
  • [p]Instant lock: Less delay before firing means fewer missed opportunities. [/p]
  • [p]High caliber: Slower but stronger. Do more damage with fewer rounds. [/p]
  • [p]Manual: Risk versus reward. Manually aimed weapons always hit hardest.[/p]
  • [p]Mechanic: Your car’s health persists from race to race, and you’ll have opportunities to repair it outside of the pickups on the track. Golden Tickets can also be purchased here. Golden Tickets allow you to respawn your vehicle after being wrecked or losing a non-boss event. [/p]

Tank
[p]Tanks have the most health, but defense isn’t all they’re about. This class of cars has the highest collision damage stat, so if you prefer a more hands-on approach, you’ll have a blast smashing and side-bashing your enemies into oblivion. Tanks aren’t known for their speed, so that will need to be considered before you start your run. When deciding which perks to pick, abilities like Turbo, Glass Cannon, and Sidebash Power are great for any Tank builds.

Weapons Master
[p]All that matters to Weapons Masters are RPMs. In both senses of the term. These cars have a massive amount of weapon damage potential, but they’ve also got plenty of power behind their wheels. This class is for combatants who never let their barrels cool and keep their fingers on the trigger. When buildcrafting for Weapons Master, your engagement distance will dictate your perk choices. Using a shotgun or minigun? Give CQC a try. Like to keep your distance? Marksman and Long Shot are perfect for you.

Speed Demon
[p]Speed Demons are the bravest of the bunch, putting velocity above their own lives. Make no mistake, the only thing that matters here is being the fastest. Handling and Max Health are concerns for this class, but that’s the cost of being the quickest. It’s easy to decide what to run for these. Choose things that improve your speed and health. Perks like Boost Power and Gearsync will get you moving, while Defense and Structural Reinforcement will keep you on the road for longer.
