Patch v0.5.4.2

[h3]UPDATE[/h3]
  • At the beginning of the first level, a hint prompt is shown to open the map so the new players can learn about the existence of the map in the game.
  • Sounds added for Showing/Hiding map
  • The input setting label has been renamed from "Invert Mouse Y" to "Invert Mouse & Gamepad Y" to avoid confusion. The setting applies to both.
  • Goblin Casters & Cultists will move around more actively now and spend less time in the same spot.


[h3]FIXES[/h3]
  • When playing with the controller, the keyboard key is shown next to the Magic Orb Bomb HUD icon instead of the gamepad key.
  • Using new lines in the User Level description will prevent the level from loading.
  • The Magic Bomb counter is not showing when loading a save game.
  • Pushing around Skeletons that are faking death.
  • Storm Gauntlets are not doing damage to enemies or players in the liquid you're shooting at.

  • The Adventure browser is showing better content now, and labels properly represent the entries list.
  • Rats & Spiders can now be damaged & killed mid-air while leaping
  • Hitting the leaping rat with a weapon that has a 'push-back' property will now decrease the leap speed

We also released Murky Wastes Vanilla as a user adventure, which is the original version of the Murk Wastes that was released with the initial Early Access version. This is to keep history alive so everyone can replay the old level whenever they want.

The most hated Sewers level - Reforged

Since the early access launch of Wizordum, Murky Wastes, the infamous sewers level, has received many negative opinions. Being the 3rd level in the game, the level was very long, and the difficulty spike was quite big. Not to mention tedious backtracking and many switches - we just wanted to stay true to the tradition of sewer levels. However, it didn't turn out as we hoped it would.



Because of that, we decided to go back to the Murky Wastes and flip some things around to get rid of most of the backtracking and to make the whole level slightly more linear, so it's harder to get lost now. As a result of this, we have a shorter and more enjoyable level.



Hopefully, this will make the overall experience better for everyone! And if you loved the old vanilla Murky Wastes, don't fret. We will upload it as a custom map soon so you can experience the original map whenever you want.

[h3]Storm Gauntlets - Chain of Lightning Alternative Attack[/h3]
If you have purchased the Storm Gauntlets upgrade at the shop, you can now use the alternative attack, connecting up to five enemies with a Chain of Lightning, dealing 20 damage per enemy in the chain.

  • Silver Key missing in the Lighthouse (Grimbrook Haven - E1l05)
  • Spiders can turn invisible on game load

  • Timed Run results are not uploaded to leaderboards for levels E2L10 and upwards.
  • Can't escape the Custom Keybindings menu with the Back button
  • Seer's Orb in E2L06 is on the ground instead of in the cage

Hotfix v0.5.3.1

Thanks to you, we found two showstopper bugs, one of which we introduced with the latest boss update. So, here's a hotfix for undisrupted gameplay. We apologize for the dark magic at work!

  • Final doors in the sequence at the end of E2L05 won't open
