Love Sucks: Night Two News

Steam Trading Cards are now LIVE (I hope)

I'm clicking the button! I don't know how long it takes them to go into effect, but Steam's documentation makes it sound like it should be instant.

It's been a real blast doing all of this. Finding out we're eligible to do this made us really proud, and truly thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all the engagement, reviews, downloads, and everything else that let us do this!

Just for a reminder from our last post, here's what we've got!

  • 5 Steam trading cards!
    • Collect them all and turn them in on Steam for a nice badge! Or just sell the cards!
  • 6 profile badges!
    • There are five levels of badges, each with a different badge. Collect the foil badge to become an Honorary Nimrod, yippie!
  • 9 chat emoticons!
    • Do people use these? Well, you'll have 'em!
  • 12 profile backgrounds!
    • These were a huge pain in the ass to get approved! Do what you want with them! Collect them, set them as your background, print them out, and mail them to all your friends, the choice is yours.

Now, go out there and collect! Send me a screenshot on Discord if you earn the foil badge, I'd love to see the collection of all the things! I'll even give the first person a copy of the art book :D

Night Two Steam Trading Cards on Wednesday!! (FINALLY)

It's taken way longer than it should have to get this going. We've had the cards and the content for a while, but getting through Steam's approval process took a while! We had to make a bunch of changes because the art was simply too spicy.

But it looks like we're finally going to be good to launch this time, and Night Two's community items will arrive on Wednesday!

So what are we gonna have?

From today, up until all this stuff goes live, I'll post three of the backgrounds each day, just on Patreon, too!

I don't know if it's as exciting to you as it is to us, but getting trading cards feels like a big deal, and we're very happy about it. Also, since these are launching after the release of the game, anyone who WOULD have gotten trading cards should automatically just get them immediately, yay!

Version 2.0.1.0 Patch notes

Version 2.0.1.0

-Fixed a lot of spelling errors
-Added Night Three wishlisting link to main page
-Added a bit of content we didn't get in before. Two additional pictures of the girls offering drinks at the end of the party

Thank you everyone for a lovely launch week!

Patch notes: v2.0.0.2

Here's patch notes for the update that just got pushed!

2.0.0.2
  • Fixed achievement "Last Supper" to trigger. Die to Anna by 69ing her in the Arcade to get it. (Sorry about that D:)
  • Whack-a-mole achievement taken out until we actually have it in game.
  • The "bad knife" ending has been added, where you used a bad keyword and got the knife. No more cleaning dishes, no more being locked out of an achievement and needing to replay the whole game to get it.
  • A new N1 keyword funny put in. Try Mommy, Momma, Mother, Mom 😉
  • Lots of spelling mistakes
  • A few facts not firing correctly on all versions fixed
  • Fixed Addy being able to break a thousand crystal balls because the second version of the save didn't kick in. (very clumsy)

Also, while I have you. I humbly ask that if you enjoyed our game, to please consider posting a review. While the game is new, they help us out way more than you realize! ❤

Thank you everyone for your bug reports on Discord. More fixes will come, these are the ones we have right now!

Love Sucks: Night Two RELEASING

Love Sucks: Night Two is now available to play, released on Steam right here!!!

It will sell for $10, and also has an Art Book as optional DLC for people who want to support us a little extra, and have a little insight into the development process! It installs as a .pdf to the base game folder.

After several years of hard work from all of us, more bumps on the road, and hurdles than we are to count, I'm so happy and proud to announce that the game is now ready and available for people to buy and play. I'm equal parts excited and nervous. At last people get to see what we've made and enjoy the second part in our game. I'm also nervous, because now is when we find out if all the effort has been worth it. Will people still like it when it's not free? Will anyone even buy it? Is it as good as I think it is? Questions we're all going to find out the answers to, and to say I'm nervous is an understatement.

But I'm mostly excited! I, and the rest of us in Art Witch Studios hope you enjoy the game, that you regularly die to revisit scenes and do things different ways. There's a lot of content, and a lot of stuff you could miss. Maybe each time you play you'll see something else.

If you like the game, I humbly ask you to write a positive Steam review. Those help us out a ton and help get the game in front of more people. If you want to support us, a review is the best way you can do it. If you find any problems, please don't hesitate to let us know on Discord, we are very open to feedback and will work to fix anything wrong as fast as possible!

As for the Patreon: It will stay up, and the funds, as they have always been, will solely be used to support the development and expenses for making more games. The benefits may change slightly but mostly remain the same, and remember that Night Three will still take its time to develop. Any changes we make will be communicated, and we are eternally grateful for your support in getting us this far.

From Kayla, the media person and assistant writer/programmer: Art Witch Studios genuinely and sincerely cannot thank you enough for your continued support and patience over the years while we work on this game. I hope you like it. It's been hard but seeing this game come to life and interacting with the community on Discord over the years has been one of the most rewarding things that I have ever done.

From Frosty, the lead writer/programmer: We appreciate your patience, and we hope we can meet your expectations. Thank you, all of you, for being with us on this journey and everything in between. I'm a different person than I was at the start of this, and I like who I am now more than ever.

From AilaAnne, the artist: It's been a crazy journey, and I don't have enough words to express how much I appreciate Frosto, and Kayla, and everyone that helped us, AND all of you. Thank you so very much for supporting us and our game. I hope it makes you guys feel things. Thanks

♥ Kayla, and the rest of the Art Witch Studios Team.
