Whether they claim righteousness, revel in chaos, or simply try to get by, the factions of this world shape its fate. [/p][p]Who you fight, who you trust, and what you believe may determine whether you endure, or fall like so many before you.[/p][p][/p][h2]The Inquisition[/h2][p][/p][p]Clad in steel and bound by faith, the Inquisitors stand as the shield against the dangers of the world beyond the city walls. They are sworn to protect humanity from ruin, and relentless in their pursuit of those deemed responsible for the land’s slow decay. Inquisitors wield divine authority granted by the King Priest himself, and hunt down Witches and other heretics without hesitation.[/p][p][/p][p]To some, they are guardians of order. To others, they are little more than zealots chasing ghosts. But one thing is certain: when an Inquisitor arrives, judgment is never far behind.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][h2]Witches[/h2][p][/p][p]Stories of Witches are whispered in the dark, where frightened voices cannot be overheard. They are accused of wielding forbidden magic, of unraveling the world with their spells and sinister rituals. The Inquisition blames them for withering villages and rising horrors—a creeping danger to be purged before all is lost[/p][p][/p][p]But truth is a fickle thing, easily twisted by those who claim to wield it. The deeper one digs into forgotten secrets, the harder it becomes to separate legend from reality.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][h2]Bandits[/h2][p][/p][p]Not everyone in Faelduum fights for faith or prophecy, some fight simply to fill their pockets. The roads are treacherous, and those who cannot afford protection may find themselves at the mercy of blades in the dark.[/p][p][/p][p]Bandits, mercenaries, and cutthroats care little for the war between magic and order. They claim whatever isn’t nailed down, from whoever is too weak to keep it. In the face of a world coming apart, they’ve decided to take what they can, however they can.
