Thank you for being with us during the launch of Abyssus. We’re very happy to see so many of you enjoying the game! [/p][p][/p][p]We want to reiterate our post-launch plans:

We have a lot of post-launch content planned, and all of it will be free.[/p][p][/p][p]We will never sell new content such as new weapons, abilities, game modes, etc. The only DLCs that will be paid for are supporter packs that add cosmetics and emotes. People can buy these if they want to support us as a studio, but it will never be required to get the latest, coolest stuff we’ve added to the game. [/p][p][/p][p]Here’s a brief preview of the updates we’re working on:

  • [p]Infinite Mode: lets you continue playing indefinitely until you feel ready to face the final boss, with enemies infinitely scaling. We are excited to see who can make the most broken build and reach the furthest depths![/p]
  • [p]Random Order Mode: keeps things fresh by switching up the areas so they’re not always in the same order. If you play with Random Order Mode on, you might start in Area 3, then go to Area 1, and so on. It will take some balance work to get it right, but we think this will be appreciated by those who play the game the most.[/p]
  • [p]Alternative boss patterns: new movesets for the bosses, so you never really know which ones you’ll get in your next expedition.[/p]
[p][/p][p]Of course, we’ll also be adding new weapons, weapon mods, abilities, and some more secret stuff we want to keep as a surprise. [/p][p][/p][p]After the 1.1 and 1.2 patches, we will take a step back, listen to community feedback, and figure out what our next updates should be.[/p][p]
We don’t want to reveal everything right now, but we want our players to know that we intend to keep updating Abyssus according to your feedback and to what we think will make the best game in the long run.

HOTFIX NOW LIVE!

[p] Greetings, Brinehunters!

We just applied a new hotfix to Abyssus, intended to solve some of the issues reported since the launch of the game.
We are still working on your feedback, and we will roll out further fixes as we investigate and take action on the different issues you report.
Please keep in mind that in order to apply the fix, Abyssus must be closed and restarted. Moreover, you won’t be able to join the sessions of players who have not downloaded it yet.

 BUG FIXES:[/p]
  • [p]Optimized Gauge should now correctly increase shotgun damage after a Boss has been frozen or slowed.[/p]
  • [p]After rejoining a lobby, some of the animated objectives no longer appear frozen.[/p]
  • [p]Players should no longer get stuck in the Diving Bell after defeating Secret Phase To'raka.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a crash happening when equipping a loadout without getting a savegame.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a crash happening when accepting session invites without a valid unique NetID[/p]
  • [p]Dying during the Secret Phase To'raka countdown should no longer cause visual issues.[/p]
  • [p]The Diving Bell no longer appears during To'raka's second phase.[/p]
  • [p]The “Weapon Mastery” challenge should now be completed as intended.[/p]
  • [p]The “Speedster” challenge can now be completed correctly[/p]
  • [p]The “Collector” challenge should now work as intended and should be retroactively awarded to players who completed all weapons and abilities.[/p]
  • [p]The “Turret Mastery” and “Unstable Cores” challenges should now work as intended.[/p]
  • [p]The “No Need” challenge should now also work with syringes not obtained during the run.[/p]
  • [p]Spark Orbs should now have the right color in multiplayer.[/p]
  • [p]The Plasma Launcher projectiles’ color is now consistent with primary/secondary fire.[/p]
  • [p]The New Monarch challenge should now give the correct notification once unlocked.[/p]
  • [p]Stable String stacks no longer reset when an enemy dies.[/p]
  • [p]Players should no longer take damage when entering a new zone.[/p]
  • [p]Enemies should no longer get stuck in walls.[/p]
  • [p]Players should no longer trigger an infinite loading screen on ALT-TAB.[/p]
  • [p]It is now possible to switch tabs with RB and LB after changing languages.[/p]
  • [p]Players should no longer get stuck in the Workbench by dashing into it as it's opening.[/p]
  • [p]The hole in the Royal Gardens’ Flooded Hamlet should now be easier to get out of.[/p]
  • [p]Players should no longer be able to die after defeating Secret Phase To'raka.[/p]
  • [p]Diver Suit's left arm no longer appears deformed on the camera.[/p]
  • [p]The indicator for when Automatic Action and Trigger mutators are active should now appear correctly.[/p]
  • [p]The Unstable Core mod should now stun enemies as intended.[/p]
  • [p]Execute now counts as a melee attack for the “Unbeatable” challenge[/p]
  • [p]Explosive Culling mod should now increase damage based on missing enemy health as intended.[/p]
  • [p]Power from Pain buff should now update correctly.[/p]
  • [p]Accelerating Core should no longer increase range when shooting in quick succession.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed some controller-related issues:[/p]
    • [p]Players can now move right when viewing Expeditions with a controller.[/p]
    • [p]Players should now be able to view profiles and access all the relevant options when playing on a controller.[/p]
    • [p]Players should no longer get stuck in the Helmet selection in the Wardrobe when using a controller.[/p]
  • [p]Various crash fixes[/p]
[p] [/p][p]BALANCE CHANGES:[/p]
  • [p]Increased the damage on the Shotgun primary fire[/p]
  • [p]The health of To'raka’s invulnerability spheres has been reduced.[/p]
  • [p]The health of Unglu’s Surgezones and Crystals has been reduced.[/p]
  • [p]Increased the timer before the “sudden death” in To’raka’s secret phase and slightly lowered Toraka’s health during this phase.[/p]
  • [p]The speed of the Elite Berserker has been reduced.  [/p]
  • [p]RichGetRicher - Reduced chance from 15->10 %[/p]
  • [p]Slightly increased the timeframe to beat the Combat Bow challenge[/p]

NEW HOTFIX LANDING NEXT WEEK!

[p]Greetings, Brinehunters! As your feedback flows in, we are hard at work on your reports to make the Abyssus experience as smooth and polished as it can be.
[/p][p]We are currently testing a new hotfix that we'll deploy next week. This latest update will fix some of the issues you reported, and notably:

- Progression blockers and “stuck” scenarios
- notably during the To’raka fight, the Workbench, or in environmental hazards.[/p][p]- Visual and animation glitches (frozen objectives, incorrect projectile or orb colors, deformed models, missing indicators).[/p][p]- Weapon and mod functionalities that are not working as intended.[/p][p]- Controller navigation and menu accessibility.[/p][p]- Boss and encounters balancing.

We'll publish more details with the full changelog early next week. In the meantime, we want to reiterate our thanks for your feedback, for enjoying Abyssus, and for helping us make it better day after day!

UPDATE ON THE SESSION BROWSER ISSUE

[p]We have been looking to solve the current issue causing the game to crash when the Session Browser is accessed in-game, and we have deployed a hotfix that should solve the problem.

Please remember that you will have to close and restart Abyssus to download this hotfix.[/p][p][/p][p]You will still be able to play in solo and with your friends through Steam invites, as it is currently possible, and the Session Browser should no longer crash the game. IMPORTANT - ONGOING ISSUE WITH THE SESSION BROWSER

[p]We’re aware of an issue causing random crashes when opening the session browser. [/p][p]Please be assured that our team is actively investigating to resolve these occurrences as soon as possible.  [/p][p]Temporary workaround: Use Steam Invites to join friends instead of the in-game browser.
