As we continue to develop Pathless Woods, we would like to connect and give you a behind-the-scenes look at the development of Pathless Woods through our dev updates!

In this dev update, we'd like to share with you about what we've been working on recently - optimizing the building construction system.



If you were previously involved in our closed beta, you would have noticed that there were some issues in the original building construction system such as not having a proper auto-align mode and frequent misalignment issues where players could only use the lines on the ground as a reference for building.



With Pathless Woods being a game that allows for extensive building and crafting, it was crucial for us to ensure that each building part type had its own specific alignment rules and designs. As such, we have improved the auto-align mode of the building construction system to ensure a smooth experience for players.



With these improvements, building on uneven terrain and adding tiles to roofs will be easier and more precise, allowing players to express their creativity and build their own world without limits. No more worrying about "shaky hands" ruining your creations!



As we continue on our journey to make the Pathless Woods gaming experience better for everyone, the next steps ahead for us would be focusing on updating the in-game interaction interface and adding new and exciting features. Although we can't reveal all the details just yet, we are confident that the improvements we are making to the interface and character movements will result in a more convenient and immersive experience for players.

Welcome! We are just getting ready to unveil more details about our game and post with more frequency as we are planning to have a playtest in the future.



First of all, Pathless Woods is a sandbox-style survival game that takes players on an adventure through a sealed land. We have designed it to be an immersive world which offers diverse gameplay mechanics. You will journey through a mysterious land shrouded in an unknown fog, filled with lush forests, open fields, toxic swamps and abandoned ruins. The game offers a variety of activities such as exploration, construction, and farming, where you can gather resources, craft items, build your own homeland, plant and tend your crops to a bountiful harvest.



As you explore the Pathless Woods, you'll have the opportunity to gather resources and craft a variety of items to help you on your journey. Gather resources by logging, mining, and gathering in the wild. With these resources, you can craft a variety of tools and items that are essential for survival in the wild, such as axes and hammers, and hunting weapons. The possibilities are endless!



In addition to exploring and gathering resources, you would be able to engage in farming activities such as building your own paddy fields, planting and tending your crops until they grow into a bountiful harvest. Be sure to manage your resources carefully in order to optimize your harvest and yield the best results possible!



As you progress through the game, you'll also have the chance to build your own homeland in the Pathless Woods. With a variety of building materials and structures to choose from, you can create the home of your dreams, whether it be a simple hut or a grand mansion.



However, the game offers a real sense of danger too, with enemies called the Jaer Cultists, who pose a threat to all players. They are well-equipped and dangerous, so building and fortifying your home is important as it will provide you with a safe-haven from the cultists.

We are still working on localization and some related issues, we would like to provide a better quality localized version for play.

We're excited to be part of Enter the Dragon, an all-new event running from April 22 - 29 celebrating the fantastic games being developed by studios from across the Greater China region.


We've been working hard over the last number of months, but we are still preparing the demo of the game. We hope to provide a demo with better experience and better localization quality. so please wait patiently and we look forward to seeing you soon.
